Consumers who submit a claim form could benefit from a $102 million judgment against On Point Global LLC in a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawsuit over the company’s fraudulent website schemes.
Consumers are eligible for this judgment if they purchased a guide from On Point Global in 2017, 2018 or 2019 and were not satisfied with their purchase or if they provided their personal information to On Point Global in 2019 and were not satisfied with their experience.
On Point Global publishes online editorial and digital guides on a number of subjects, including automotives, finance, legal services, homes, community issues, marketplaces, recreation and travel. The company then “captures” consumer data and uses that information to identify customer behaviors.
However, On Point Global allegedly misled customers into handing over their personal data.
The FTC filed a lawsuit against On Point Global in December 2019, claiming the company promised customers a quick and easy way to complete government services such as renewing driver’s licenses or checking eligibility for government programs. The branding and language of these websites allegedly mimicked government sites which convinced consumers to hand over sensitive information such as credit card data, personal identifying information, and more.
After handing over this sensitive data, consumers started to receive harassing marketing emails and text messages from third parties, the FTC maintains. According to the federal regulator, these messages started when On Point Global made millions by selling sensitive consumer data to third parties.
The FTC requested a preliminary injunction against the company to shut down its allegedly fraudulent websites. The court agreed in February 2020, finding the FTC would likely prevail in trial by successfully proving that “the websites were patently misleading.” This came to pass in November 2021 when the court ruled against On Point Global and ordered the company to pay $102 million to affected consumers.
Under the terms of the judgment, affected consumers can receive a cash payment.
Payment amounts will vary depending on the number of claims filed and how much personal information each consumer provided to On Point Global. Consumers who provided more information could receive larger payments than those who only shared a small amount of information.
Consumers who already received a refund from the company may receive smaller payments from this judgment. According to the judgment website, payments will not be more than $15.
In order to receive benefits from the On Point Global FTC lawsuit judgment, class members must submit a valid claim form.
The deadline to submit an On Point claim form is Aug. 31, 2022.

Shame on “On Point Global.”
I filled out the claim form through the site that was on the card but I believe no matter how many people were a part of it purchase or no purchase other companies still have our information most likely so is $15 really going to make up for what they could STILL do with our information in the future?!? Idk if it’s worth it I still haven’t seen the $15 hit my account yet if it ever even will…
I received one saying I may of given them personal information for food benefits
And I also want to know how that all we get when we gave them our all personal stuff . Dam it boy
Once again the victim becomes the criminal. These asshats received millions from their ill gotten gains and we the real losers in this battle having our personal information sold to God knows who for God only knows whatever reason and for God knows why get a measley $15.00 but you can get your asses those leeches for lawyers got a hefty 6 digit check or better. It’s always the little guy that gets the shit end of the stick, guess what world, we’re tired of the shit end and we’ll use that stick to get what is rightfully ours even if we have to beat it out of you so BEWARE! from this day forward if you mess with us, we’re going to give as good as we get or better…

You should check with your states housing authorities … I don’t think its legal a landlord can raise the rent more than $75 in one year.. unless your original contract got you in at a discounted rate.
Check to see if raising the rent that drastically at one time is even legal.. and maybe you can turn around ad sue them – hell – let the owner take you to court so you can protest to the judge what’s being done to you.

WOW! As if 2017, 2018, and 2019 wasn’t already a rough time for my kids & I. October 2017 was the year I got kicked out of my place out in Lake County, Willoughby, OH after clashing with my neighbors about their son bullying my son at school. They were a married white couple and didn’t help my kids dad and I were always in a domestic dispute. They were calling the police on us for every little thing. Unfortunately, I was unfairly put out, losing my Section 8 voucher I had for a year and a half, long enough for me to port out somewhere else. They called Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority telling them he was staying there and terrorizing the neighbors. Despite all of my efforts informing my landlord and filing reports. The last few days before it was time for us to go, we had another dispute where I was maced & bit having to get a Tetanus shot at the hospital. I couldn’t prove he didn’t live there and paid utilities at his cousin’s house, so with him we had to nowhere else to go. I was the victim single with two kids being hated/harassed. I lost everything I worked so hard for to be stuck with my abuser, which things did not get any better. There was yet another domestic dispute while we were living in Akron, OH. I was maced in the face once again with a black eye this time. The kids and I had been really homeless ever since leaving to reside at Forbes House Battered Women’s Shelter back in Lake County. On January 04, 2018, we moved back to Cuyahoga County where around June 2018, the next morning of my daughters birthday, their dad was drunk being disrespectful, We tried to leave, but of course he wouldn’t let us. Long story short, I served time in jail, having to turn myself in twice because of the Courts giving me a wrong court date. In October 2018, I was sentenced to 1 year of supervised probation, parenting, individual counseling as well as anger management classes. Around that time my dad had just got arrested for murdering his wife. I lost my Security Job and all. The case was petty foreal and I have messages from the day I was sentenced from the alleged victim telling me my kids miss me and for me to come home SMH Indeed I was really going through a lot for these past few years. I was homeless living in shelters while my kids were placed in his care. I do remember talking to many people about some help and it just seemed like everyone couldn’t do much for me. My driver’s license was suspended, having to get an SR-22, got into an accident, ended up meeting another abusive guy who sent me to the hospital., trying to find affordable housing trying to get my kids back, as horrible as my credit was for already being economically abused as well. I still have a Sprint phone I owe like $1300 for plus 3 other phones floating around somewhere for getting played out on the deal. I just received an alert last week about T Mobile breaching my and compromising my personal information! I’ve just had so much bad luck these last few years! So many people were just like prowling on me. I’ve been off of probation since October 2019 finally getting somewhat back on track. I do say all of this too because this battle is still ongoing and I just want what is rightfully OWED to my family & I for our PAIN & SUFFERING. It’s costing way too much driving me more and more into debt with legal fees trying to clear my name and take care of children. I’m even stuck having to pay child support, still don’t have a license, even though he still owes me in two different counties! So I mean like HELL NO! Someone has got to find it in their heart to help! I am so tired of being treated like I’m nothing and not worthy of a BETTER LIFE. Out of all of that…$15?? REALLY?? HEEYYYY, WAIT, I’VE GOT A NEW COMPLAINT!!!
