Real Ham Bone Class Action Settlement
According to reports on the Top Class Action Facebook page, Class Members in the Real Ham Bone class action settlement have received checks worth as much as $2,500.
Consumers accused the makers of the Real Ham Bone for Dogs of making products dangerous for their pets. According to the class action lawsuit, the dog treats were made from slaughterhouse waste and contained toxins.
Further, the treats, after being chewed by dogs, could create “needle-like shards,” the plaintiffs claimed. If ingested, the shards could puncture pets’ intestinal tracts or cause other internal injuries.
The maker of the Real Ham Bone, Dynamic Pet Products, agreed to settle the class action lawsuit in 2017. The company agreed to reimburse Class Members for vet bills up to $2,500 caused by injuries linked to the Real Ham Bone. Additionally, the company agreed to pay Class Members $3 per Real Ham Bone product they purchased, for up to four products without proof of purchase and for up to 30 with proof.
Class Members included anyone who purchased the Real Ham Bone product or who sustained a pet injury/property damage due to the dog treat between Jan. 1, 2011 and May 12, 2017
