A federal judge has preliminarily approved a $9 million settlement in the Sensa Weight Loss System class action lawsuit we first told you about in April 2011. If granted final approval, the Sensa class action settlement will provide up to $6 million in refunds to consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012 and who submit a claim form by the deadline of December 13, 2012.
The Sensa weight loss settlement will resolve a false advertising class action lawsuit, entitled Correa v. Sensa Products, LLC, that alleges Sensa tricked consumers into buying its “weight-loss” crystals by using marketing claims not backed by scientific proof. Sensa denies these allegations and contends that its marketing claims are substantiated by three product studies and scientific research regarding neurology and the science of smell and taste, but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to avoid the expense of ongoing litigation.
Class Members of the Sensa class action settlement include all U.S. consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012. If the court grants final approval to the Sensa settlement at the November 7, 2012 Final Fairness Hearing, Class Members who submit a Claim Form will receive a share of the $6 million settlement fund. The amount of money you will receive from the Sensa settlement will depend on, among other things, how many of the 2.6 million Class Members submit a timely and valid Claim Form.
Claim Forms must be submitted online at www.WeightLossSettlement.com or to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than December 13, 2012.
Claim forms and more information on your rights in the Sensa Weight Loss Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.WeightLossSettlement.com. Detailed instructions on how to file a claim for the Sensa settlement can be found in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.
UPDATE: Sensa class action settlement checks were mailed to consumers on Feb. 19, 2014. Congratulations to our Top Class Actions readers who submitted a valid claim and got PAID!

I just in the last couple of days heard about the lawsuit against Sensa. I took it for several months, no results is it to late in get in on this class action suit. I also ordered some for my daughter before I realized it didn’t work Please inform me if it is to latte or not. this stuff was to expensive and now to find out it wasn’t what they said it was
Just heard about the Sensa Weight Loss System class action lawsuit. I took this as to their instructions I did not see any positive effects from it’s use. I did however experience severe stomach cramping as if I were having labor contractions and bouts of diarrhea until I realized my problem was a result of using the Sensa product. After about 3 months of use I discontinued it with no weight loss. Back to square 1 at a costly mistake of believing in something that was advertised to lose weight. I understand there was a deadline to file this claim but it’s hard to file if you don’t know or hear about it. I heard about it from a friend.
What about people who purchased SENSA after 8/21/12?
I wish I would have known that there was a lawsuit, because I would have submitted. I took this stuff for 3 months with no results…unless you consider throwing everything up every time you use it. I guess that was there method. If you don’t keep anything down, you are bound to lose? What a waste! I have since gone to the gym and lost 30 pounds with proper diet and exercise.
i BOUGHT SENSA AND NOTHING HAS HAPPEN,ONLY MADE MY TONGUE SWELL. GEE 90.00 WAS EXPENSE FOR ME. I’M THROUGH WILL NEVER USE THIS MESS AGAIN. WHY CAN’T I GET INTO THIS LAWSUIT,JUST FOUND OUT ABUOUT IT ON TV JAN 7,2014.
I also just found out about the law suit !!!! so how can I go about file a claim??
I also purchased and used Sensa by in 2012. I paid $200 at a GNC store in Jacksonville, Arkansas. It did not work for me. It actually made me dizzy and sick to my stomach. I never received any info on the class action lawsuit. I need my money back. What should I do, or what can I do?
this stuff did noyhing for me, it should taken out of circulation. , it’s a shame that these people take advantage of desperate people who are trying to lose weight. you spend your hard earned money for these phony products only to be discourage and used.
I also just found out about this lawsuit, is there anything I can do now to recover the money that I wasted on this useless product? I still have the containers to prove it.
I just saw a report on this. I’ve been using sensa for more than 1 year. Lost maybe 10 pounds. I still have product since I purshased 1 year supply at a time. Very disappointed.
