Sensa weight lossA federal judge has preliminarily approved a $9 million settlement in the Sensa Weight Loss System class action lawsuit we first told you about in April 2011. If granted final approval, the Sensa class action settlement will provide up to $6 million in refunds to consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012 and who submit a claim form by the deadline of December 13, 2012.

The Sensa weight loss settlement will resolve a false advertising class action lawsuit, entitled Correa v. Sensa Products, LLC, that alleges Sensa tricked consumers into buying its “weight-loss” crystals by using marketing claims not backed by scientific proof. Sensa denies these allegations and contends that its marketing claims are substantiated by three product studies and scientific research regarding neurology and the science of smell and taste, but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to avoid the expense of ongoing litigation.

Class Members of the Sensa class action settlement include all U.S. consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012. If the court grants final approval to the Sensa settlement at the November 7, 2012 Final Fairness Hearing, Class Members who submit a Claim Form will receive a share of the $6 million settlement fund. The amount of money you will receive from the Sensa settlement will depend on, among other things, how many of the 2.6 million Class Members submit a timely and valid Claim Form.

Claim Forms must be submitted online at www.WeightLossSettlement.com or to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than December 13, 2012.

Claim forms and more information on your rights in the Sensa Weight Loss Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.WeightLossSettlement.com. Detailed instructions on how to file a claim for the Sensa settlement can be found in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.

UPDATE: Sensa class action settlement checks were mailed to consumers on Feb. 19, 2014.  Congratulations to our Top Class Actions readers who submitted a valid claim and got PAID!

I used Sensa for 6 month. Lost nothing. When I tried to cancel. They give me a free 3 month subscription. This was a waste of my money. I just heard about the class action suite on the news.. Very disheartening that I paid good money for a product that didn’t work and now I’m not able to join the class action.

I need to find out who do I speak to about lawsuit. I had agreed to participate in the suit because I spent money on this product and receive no results. But I since moved and they didn’t forward by info to me.

  3. Caroline says:

What a waste of my hard earned money not even 2lbs?

I just found out about this Class Action Law Suit. Wasn’t a member or subscriber during the time of the lawsuit but I , like many others , had taken Sensa for several months and didn’t lose any weight. Very disheartening that I paid good money for a product that didn’t work and now it’s too late to join the class action. Oh well live and learn. Now a member and watch each and every lawsuit to see if it’s something I use/ used to use / or have used in the past!

I already filled in a form quite some time ago and I also had absolutely No weight loss.I should have realized products like Sensa will not work. I had purchased the whole program too.Not just the Trial offer.I am on a fixed income and can not afford to throw my money away.
I have joined Weight Watchers and learning to eat the foods I like in moderation. It is definitely the healthiest way to lose weight. If I can get a refund from this Lawsuit,I would really appreciate that.Hopefully you still have my form
that I filled in.Please let me know thru my E-mail address if possible.Since then I have moved to another address.

    Thank You

no result from using the senza

  8. Pat says:

This is the first that I have heard of a Class Action lawsuit against Sensa. I have faithfully used this product for 9 months, first 2 purchased kits from Sam’s Club. In the first two months I lost only 2 lbs. I then enrolled in Sensa’s online program which I have faithfully used as directed with a total weight loss of 3 lbs. I canceled my subscription on the 10 January 2014, they said they would send me an email confirmation of cancellation, as of today I still have not received that email from Sensa. I feel that Sensa is truly just a scam to rip off trusting people in hope of a honorable company fulfilling their advertised product. I rate Sensa at minus 5 stars for what it has cost me for no results :-((((( I recommend that no one wastes one cent on this product.

I’m flabbergasted. I bought about 6 months worth back in 2009, bad gas, upset stomach, constantly hungry, migraines etc. Threw the crap out since it all got worse after the return policy date had passed. I just found out about this lawsuit on the news. Heck of a way to find out. Why we’re all of us not notified big this suit? I open all my mail so I can find out what needs shredded and I know I never received notification of this and I want in!

  10. Patric Williams says:

no result from using the sensa. I been on the sensa for five month i will love to have my money back.
