Sensa weight lossA federal judge has preliminarily approved a $9 million settlement in the Sensa Weight Loss System class action lawsuit we first told you about in April 2011. If granted final approval, the Sensa class action settlement will provide up to $6 million in refunds to consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012 and who submit a claim form by the deadline of December 13, 2012.

The Sensa weight loss settlement will resolve a false advertising class action lawsuit, entitled Correa v. Sensa Products, LLC, that alleges Sensa tricked consumers into buying its “weight-loss” crystals by using marketing claims not backed by scientific proof. Sensa denies these allegations and contends that its marketing claims are substantiated by three product studies and scientific research regarding neurology and the science of smell and taste, but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to avoid the expense of ongoing litigation.

Class Members of the Sensa class action settlement include all U.S. consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012. If the court grants final approval to the Sensa settlement at the November 7, 2012 Final Fairness Hearing, Class Members who submit a Claim Form will receive a share of the $6 million settlement fund. The amount of money you will receive from the Sensa settlement will depend on, among other things, how many of the 2.6 million Class Members submit a timely and valid Claim Form.

Claim Forms must be submitted online at www.WeightLossSettlement.com or to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than December 13, 2012.

Claim forms and more information on your rights in the Sensa Weight Loss Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.WeightLossSettlement.com. Detailed instructions on how to file a claim for the Sensa settlement can be found in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.

UPDATE: Sensa class action settlement checks were mailed to consumers on Feb. 19, 2014.  Congratulations to our Top Class Actions readers who submitted a valid claim and got PAID!

Had no idea there was a lawsuit or I would have filed a claim. Just found out today, from a friend I work with but had not idea there was a suit filed and I am a paralegal, LOL, I purchase this to see if it would subside my cravings and lose and received no relief. Is there anything I could do to file a claim, spent almost $200.00 on this stuff and still have many months of it. Any suggestions?

I used Sensa for 10 months before I decided to stop using it. During those 10 months, I lost a total of 78 pounds! I will admit that during the first couple of months, I did have some intestinal issues which resolved itself and my daughter couldn’t use it because it gave her really bad gas. So far, I have not had any other health issues that I know of due to using Sensa. Losing those 78 pounds enabled me to stop using a cane to get around because of bad knees! I have decided to start on the program again to lose some more weight!

I just found out about lawsuit is it to late to enter in it. I had lots of things happen to skin crawling, seeing things. Called sensa, the cust SVC rep told three and four were to strong for me, just take one and two, but they canceled me after that call and I stopped taking it, I still have some left.

I just heard about the sensa lawsuit. I have been on sensa for 7 months. I have not seen any weight loss either. Everytime I look at myself in the mirror I get so discouraged because it seems as if I have gained weight. How do I become a part of this lawsuit.

How did everyone find out about the law suit . I was on it a couple years ago and never had results. I tried it again later still no results. Just did even now there was a suit pending.

I took Senza, They kept billing me, and it did nothing. When I called the company the agent promised a bunch of stuff to companstae me under theor return policy. They never sent a dime toward my refund. When questione3d, they said the agent had no authority to make that refund, so they sent me another batch of Semza “No Charge”. Guess if your a fraud and you have an unlimited asupply of B.S., its cheaper to send out more of that thn your money back.

Senza is a Fraud and the founders and owners should be jailed for stealing Millions of Dollars with promises that were false to beging with. Anything short of a criminal investigation with charges is a crime in itself. Theft and Fraud are nothing less than Theft and Fraud !

  9. Kristy says:

I took Sensa for one month and started getting severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and just feeling icky. At first I did not know it was the sensa, but when I kept taking it the symptoms kept coming on stronger and stronger. I stopped taking it completely. So I finally figured it out it was from this crap, and it has been two and a half months and I am still coming back from feeling crappy. I have just been more run down and caught more colds and it has all been since I started taking Sensa- this stuff is pure evil.

another lawsuit needs to take place: the ‘bait and switch’ dishonest scam of sending a “FREE TRIAL”, but also sneaking in the second months’s supply. you then get charged for the next month, $89, ifyou dont return that AND the empty boxes from the free trial.
who saves their trash? its ridiculous.
its in the fine print that the empty boxes have to be returned with the unopened boxes.
THAT is how they make their money. i told them i threw them away and they billed me $89
