Vivint class action lawsuitVivint mandatory training class action lawsuit lawyers have launched an investigation into whether or not the company adequately compensated employees who underwent seminars, lectures or other meetings in order to continue on their jobs.

The Department of Labor has established a four-step procedure for determining whether or not such activities must be considered as part of a worker’s hourly pay. In order for it to be uncompensated, “it is outside normal, it is voluntary, not job related, and no other work is concurrently performed,” according to a fact sheet discussing hours worked under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Just as companies cannot ask employees to clock out for breaks or before their shift is done, any mandatory training that does not meet all of those four standards must also be included in a worker’s pay. It is believed that Vivint may have possibly not done so in certain instances regarding its training. It is also possible that travel costs may have been incurred above and beyond those accounted for by the FLSA and Department of Labor regulations.

Vivint is a company with international operations that began as a home security company in 1997. It has expanded to provide home automation related to home security as well as solar panel installation in California and other states.

However, the company has also been linked to unpaid training class action lawsuits before. It was accused of robocalling cellular phones in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act in two separate Vivint class action lawsuits, and the company has also either been charged or settled lawsuits regarding deceptive marketing practices or fined for code violations by 14 states.

The potential Vivint lawsuits would be similar to unpaid wage class action lawsuits regarding misclassification of workers as either exempt or subject to a tipped wage when they are not performing those kinds of duties. However, many people are only becoming aware more recently of the full scope of their rights as workers, including pay for mandatory training.

NYC Parking tickets. Politicians were saying during the height of covid that it was not safe to go to places. The end of
December of 2020 they were issuing expired inspection tickets. The same time politicians like the mayor of NYC was stating not to go out it was entirely necessary. These tickets I’m sure were issued to the greater parts of city residents. NYC also issued camera tickets in school speed zones while all schools were remote.

    Hello,
I ordered from an online medical pharmacy. So I thought, come to find out. They were somewhat legit, as I did receive the items I ordered, and needless to say the items I ordered did work. However that is not the problem. The problem is, is that I ordered these back in 2009 and ever since that day I have been harassed by their call center, everyday 3 times a day same time of day for the past few years since that day in 2009 to today in 2022. No amount of begging them to cease and desist has worked. I put myself on the no call list. Didn’t help, I asked to speak to managers to remove me from their call list. Didn’t work, they actually laughed at me and told me that they were allowed to call since I had conducted business with them in the past.
Here’s the kicker. The company has literally cursed me out over the phone and told me that there isn’t anything I can do about it. They now send me text messages for their products. Without my consent! I looked them up online to see if anyone else has had to deal with them, there were tons of forums about them but it doesn’t seem like anyone has sued them as of yet. I would pay to see this company come out of pocket for all these years of harassment. I have saved their emails, pamphlets thy sent in the mail, texts and voicemails, hoping for a chance at payback. Let me know if there is anything you can do.
    Thank you

Vroom an internet car selling company selling millions of dollars in vehicles without titles and buying vehicles back in 60 days for no titles paying customers 3000 to 5000 less to pick up vehicle and give them some money back to buy somewhere else. I have a vehicle from them I’ve had 120 days I can’t drive because they won’t send me the title and I can’t register and get tags to drive it. They told me I could sell it back to them for 3500.00 less then I paid for it. I called them several times they tell me someone will call me back and i have never received a call back. I told them I just want the title so I can drive to work and it’s been 120 days since I paid them in full for vehicle and still can’t get a title. I bought the vehicle on September 27th and they told me they mailed me the title in June. Please call me so other people are aware of this so they don’t get scammed. I just want my money back or the title so I have a vehicle I can drive. Im about to lose my job because I can’t get back and forth to work everyday.

I am a military service member and I live in military housing in NJ. The company that runs the housing is private and I recently found out they were sued in 2018 for charging military members to break their leases even though they had orders to move. I have been harassed by this company monthly since I moved in on April 1, 2019. They have went as far as to evict me with no knowledge, when they had my money for rent. They later recanted their story, but the damage has been done. I am moving out next month as I have orders to leave and I just found out that they raised my rent ( I still have 2 months left in my 12 month lease). The apartment has mold and lead paint and they didn’t disclose that information. The name of the company is United Communities located in Township complex in New Jersey. is there anything that can be done? Thank you for your time.

Hello I have paid credit bureau to watch over and monitor my credit. Only to find out that the credit score shown to me isn’t the correct credit score and after applying for a loan only to find out the this is a commercial score and not the actual credit score. After getting my credit ran wit confidence I was turned down and was told that the commercial credit score is not actually the credit score creditors use. Needless to say my credit score drop tremendously. This is very misleading After being told my accurate score It seem to be high enough to apply for a refinance once again after giving the score i was told to the new lender they stated that yes it was that score but now it has dropped because it was ran again. I was also told that I had negative inquiries still being use against me from the years 1999 and 2008. I paid the bureaus to monitor my credit. I stop paying and othered a credit report to my surprise they sent me a credit report that was clean and updated but the loaners and banks I’ve talk to have both told me that they can see that am being reported negative reports from 1999-2008 . Can someone please assist me ? How can I dispute anything I cannot review? My credit report is inaccurate, therefore I cannot dispute anything that is being reported that can harm my credit.
Thank you for your time and consideration Sheila P.

time with Public Storage. Three years ago I got a storage unit for $31.00. I’m in the same storage unit. Last month I paid $73.00. And next month they want me to pay $97.00. That isn’t even the worst of it. They claim to have cameras everywhere. That’s a lie. I was broken into twice. Robbed and they destroyed so much damage. I asked them what the police had to say about it. They told me they were told NOT to call the police. For the past 18 months…this Public Storage has been hit hard with people tunneling thru walls to rob people’s things….including mine. They also had staff regularly rob other storage units. The amount of new staff is alarming. My payment come out directly from my bank account…so that I never have to make a late payment. The last time I went to my storage unit, someone cut my locks off and put another lock on it. I asked the manager why…and she told me they only do that when a storage unit is for sale. My storage unit is NOT for sale! There is alot of hanky panky going on here and I plan to move my things as soon as I find a truck! Please….can you help me. Something is not right…and I’m tired of being robbed!

My family used BeFrugal website to buy cruise tickets from cruisedirect.com and the advertisement said it would give 5.5% bonus. However the credit they issued were less than half of the amount that should be issued. We already talked with befrugal but they said the bonus was issued based on “eligible price”. For example, the receipt for one ticket shows $348 cabin fare + $182.50 tax. I understand tax cannot be included, but the price they issued bonus for was $150 (bonus $8.25). I found befrugal at will defined the “eligible price” they like to and the customers don’t really get what the advertisement claims. Contact me if you interested in this case and want more details.

I have a silver 2016 Toyota Corolla that has paint peeling on the bumper. I know Toyota had a recent notification to people with white cars with this issue, but when I called Toyota they said they have received no complaints about silver cars. They said I can get it repaired and submit my paid invoice and they may reimburse me. Is anyone else experiencing this?
