Consumers may be eligible to claim cash payments, reimbursements, extended warranties, credit monitoring and other benefits from 10 class action settlements closing in October. These settlements involve major companies, including Reynolds Consumer Products, Volkswagen, Anthem, Flo Health, Lands’ End and Equinox. Hefty recyclable bags settlement
Reynolds Consumer Products agreed to pay $212,000 to resolve allegations from the Arizona attorney general that it misleadingly marketed its Hefty “Recycling” bags as recyclable. The lawsuit alleged the packaging, which featured the word “RECYCLING” and images of bags filled with cans and bottles, led consumers to pay a premium for bags that Arizona municipal recycling programs do not accept.
The settlement benefits Arizona consumers who purchased Reynolds’ “Recycling” bags or transparent blue or clear Hefty bags and who file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

Healthcare Services Group data breach settlement
Healthcare Services Group agreed to pay $3 million to resolve allegations that it failed to prevent a 2024 data breach. The class action lawsuit claimed the breach exposed sensitive employee information, including Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account details.
The settlement benefits individuals who received a notice from Healthcare Services Group that their information may have been compromised in the Sept. 27, 2024, data breach.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 1, 2026
Potential Award: Up to $5,000 for documented losses and a pro rata cash payment, plus three years of free credit monitoring
Volkswagen Atlas water pump settlement
Volkswagen agreed to an undisclosed settlement to resolve allegations that certain Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles have a defective engine water pump. The class action lawsuit claimed the defect causes the water pump to fail early and leak coolant.
The settlement benefits current and former owners and lessees of 2018-2022 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles with a 3.6-liter engine.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 5, 2026
Potential Award: Extended warranty covering 80% of water pump repairs for up to 8.5 years or 85,000 miles, plus 80% reimbursement for past repairs (up to $820 for water pump repairs and $3,325 for head gasket repairs)
The Money Source robocalls settlement
The Money Source agreed to pay $1.5 million to resolve allegations that it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) with unwanted robocalls. The class action lawsuit claimed the mortgage lender kept calling consumers’ cellphones with prerecorded or artificial voice messages after they had asked the company to stop.
The settlement benefits individuals who received a prerecorded or artificial voice call on their cellphone from The Money Source after asking the company to stop calling them between Feb. 6, 2019, and May 7, 2025.

Potential Award: Cash payment based on the number of calls received
Anthem proton beam therapy denied benefits settlement
Anthem agreed to pay $3.6 million to resolve allegations that it wrongfully denied coverage for proton beam radiation therapy for prostate cancer. The class action lawsuit claimed the treatment was medically necessary and that patients were forced to pay out of pocket after their coverage was denied.
The settlement benefits individuals identified by Anthem who received proton beam radiation therapy for prostate cancer that their insurance did not cover.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 10, 2026
Potential Award: Cash payment based on the amount paid out of pocket for proton beam radiation therapy
Flo period tracker data sharing settlement
Flo Health, Google and Flurry agreed to pay a combined $59.5 million to resolve allegations that the Flo period and ovulation tracking app shared users’ private health data without their consent. The class action lawsuit alleged Flo passed menstruation and pregnancy information to Google, Meta, Flurry and other third parties, violating federal and California privacy laws.
The settlement benefits U.S. consumers who used the Flo app and entered menstruation or pregnancy information between Nov. 1, 2016, and Feb. 28, 2019. A California subclass covers users who lived in California during that period.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 15, 2026
Potential Award: Pro rata cash payment; California subclass members who provide proof of residency receive double the share of other class members
VSL Pharmaceuticals probiotic settlement
VSL Pharmaceuticals agreed to pay $20 million to resolve allegations that it falsely advertised its VSL#3 probiotic as clinically proven to treat certain medical conditions. The class action lawsuit claimed consumers overpaid for the product because of those claims.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased VSL#3 in the United States between June 1, 2016, and June 19, 2019.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 20, 2026
Potential Award: Up to $800 with proof of purchase for up to 40 units, or up to $20 for one unit without proof
Lands’ End data breach settlement
Lands’ End agreed to an undisclosed settlement to resolve allegations that it failed to prevent a 2024 data breach. The class action lawsuit claimed the breach exposed sensitive consumer information, including Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport information and medical data.
The settlement benefits U.S. residents whose private information was compromised in the December 2024 Lands’ End data breach.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 22, 2026
Potential Award: Up to $5,000 for documented losses or an estimated $60 cash payment, plus two years of free credit monitoring
Equinox data breach settlement
Equinox agreed to pay $685,000 to resolve allegations that it failed to protect consumer information from a 2024 data breach. The class action lawsuit claimed the breach exposed sensitive information, including Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and health insurance data.
The settlement benefits individuals who received a notice from Equinox that their information may have been compromised in the April 29, 2024, data breach.
Claim Deadline: Oct. 23, 2026
Potential Award: Up to $5,000 for documented losses or a $100 payment for undocumented losses, plus three years of free credit monitoring
NAR real estate commission settlement
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) and several real estate brokerages agreed to pay more than $120 million to resolve allegations that they violated federal antitrust laws. The class action lawsuit alleged the defendants conspired to raise and fix real estate broker commissions, which inflated home prices and reduced the services buyers received from their brokers.
The settlement benefits consumers who bought a home listed on a multiple listing service anywhere in the United States where a commission was paid to a brokerage as part of the sale. Class periods vary by state, with qualifying purchases starting Dec. 8, 2017, Dec. 8, 2018, or Dec. 8, 2019, depending on where the home is located.

Potential Award: Cash payment based on the amount paid in commissions for the home purchase
