Flo Health, Google and Flurry agreed to a combined $59.5 million class action settlement to resolve claims that the reproductive health app shared private menstruation and pregnancy data with third parties without user consent.
The Flo settlement benefits consumers who used the app between Nov. 1, 2016, and Feb. 28, 2019, and entered menstruation and/or pregnancy information during that time, including a subclass of California residents who used the app during the same period.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit alleged Flo Health shared private and personal health data from the Flo app with Google, Meta, Flurry and other third parties, violating federal and California privacy laws.
Flo Health is a period and ovulation tracker app that allows users to track their menstrual cycles and other reproductive health.
Flo Health, Google and Flurry have not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $59.5 million class action settlement to resolve these allegations.
Under the terms of the Flo settlement, class members can receive a cash payment. Payments will be distributed on a pro rata basis. California subclass members who provide qualifying documentation will receive twice the pro rata share allocated to non-California class members. Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement.
The deadline for objection to the Flo settlement is Oct. 8, 2026.
The exclusion deadline has already passed, class members who did not exclude themselves in connection with the June 2025 class notice cannot ask to be excluded now.
The final approval hearing for the data sharing settlement is scheduled for Oct. 29, 2026.
To receive class action settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Oct. 15, 2026.
