Nutraceutical Corporation announced a recall for 85,300 of its Solaray Liposomal Multivitamins because the multivitamins contain iron and the packaging is not child-resistant.
The Poison Prevention Packaging Act requires child-resistant packaging as the multivitamins can be poisonous if swallowed by small children, the recall says.
The multivitamin recall includes Solaray Liposomal Women’s Multivitamin in 60- and 120-count packages, Solaray Universal Multivitamin in 60- and 120-count packages and Solaray Liposomal Women’s 50+ Multivitamin in 120-count. The SKU for the recalled multivitamins include 076280193251, 076280339536, 076280640168, 076280830385 and 076280154832, according to the multivitamin recall.
The bottles are a clear silver color with white pop-top lids, the recall states. The white label on the front of the bottles displays the Solaray logo, product name, product type and size count.
