The Primal Kitchen recall involves approximately 2,600 cases of three code dates of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil (750mL glass) that were sold in the eastern U.S. and California as well as online nationwide.
Specifically, the recall involves 750mL Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil with an individual package UPC of 8-5523200719-4, Case UPC of 108552320071910000 and a “Best When Used By” date of Aug. 19, 2025 through Aug. 21, 2025.
No consumer injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, according to a recall announcement published April 22.
Primal Kitchen recall: Avocado oil bottles leaked in shipping containers
Primal Kitchen said it discovered the issue through monitoring its warehouse and finding that avocado oil had leaked in shipping containers.
Consumers who purchased the recalled Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil are advised to dispose of the product and to contact the company by phone at 1-888-774-6259.
In previous news involving avocado oil, a consumer filed a class action lawsuit against Upfield US in 2022 over claims the company misled consumers about the amount of avocado oil in its Country Crock brand vegetable oil spoils.
