Stop using recalled products immediately, irrigation sterility recall says

Nurse Assist says it has not received reports of adverse effects related to the recall. The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

A non-sterile environment could be dangerous to individuals who are immunocompromised, the recall says. Those with the recalled products should stop using them immediately. Nurse Assist is contacting distributors and customers by electronic communication and letter and arranging replacement of the products.

Consumers can reach Nurse Assist at 800-649-6800 Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT or via email at productremovalinfo@nurseassist.com.

In a similar recall, two companies recalled eye drops in March due to a lack of sterility. Pharmedica USA recalled its Purely Soothing 15% MSM Drops due to non-sterility, and Apotex Corp. recalled its Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution due to cracks that have developed in the bottles.
