A company may decide to initiate a recall in the event they determine their product is defective and/or could harm consumers or their property in some way.ย

Paradise Grills recalls around 18,000 First Generation Outdoor Kitchens over concerns issue could cause explosion

Paradise Grills announced it was recalling around 18,000 of its First Generation Outdoor Kitchens earlier this month over concerns that gas can collect inside the productโ€™s lid, creating the risk of an explosion.ย

The company said liquid propane gas can accumulate within the lids of the recalled outdoor kitchens, which can then cause an explosion when a user relights it.ย

Paradise Grills said it has received two reports of serious injuries from explosions related to the recalled grills.ย

Consumers have been advised to immediately stop using the recalled outdoor kitchens and to contact Paradise Grills to receive a free 16-by-4-inch stainless steel vent that can remedy the problem.ย

Ross initiates recall for Taylor and Finch six-wick scented candles over concerns they could be home fire hazards

Ross initiated a recall for around 5,800 of its Taylor and Finch brand six-wick Spiced Apple & Rosewood and Cedarwood & Clove scented candles last month over concerns the products can combust and present a fire and injury risk.

The company said the glass jar in which the recalled scented candles are encased can combust after the candles are lit, causing the container to break.ย

Ross said it has received four reports of candles combusting and their glass containers shattering, while one minor injury has been reported.ย

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled six-wick scented candles and to return them to a Ross location to receive a full refund.ย

Textron Specialized Vehicles recalls more than 150,000 E-Z-GO golf carts over concerns their power boards can overheat

Textron Specialized Vehicles announced it was recalling more than 150,000 of its E-Z-GO golf carts earlier this month over concerns the power boards on the vehicles can overheat and present a risk of fire.ย

The recalled E-Z-GO golf carts were sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using them, to turn the key switch to the off position and to avoid charging them.ย

Textron said it has received 30 reports of the electronic board within the E-Z-Go golf carts overheating, with two instances leading to a fire that caused property damage. No injuries that would be connected to the recall have been reported, however.ย

Bissell facing class action after recall of more than 65,000 cordless multisurface wet-dry vacuums

Bissell initiated a recall for more than 65,000 of its cordless multi-surface wet-dry vacuums last month over concerns they could overheat and become fire hazards.ย

The company said the circuit board in the recalled vacuumโ€™s battery pack can overheat, begin to smoke and possibly start a fire.ย

Bissell said it has received 66 reports of the recalled vacuums visibly smoking and emitting a burning odor, while five of the 66 reports included claims the battery pack caught fire.ย

Consumers have been advised to immediately stop using the recalled vacuums and to contact Bissell directly to receive a battery pack replacement free of cost.ย

A consumer filed a class action lawsuit against Bissell last month โ€” following its recall announcement โ€” while arguing the company misled them to believe the vacuums were safe and effective to be used.ย

The consumer behind the complaint wants to represent a nationwide class of consumers who purchased a Bissell vacuum with the model numbers 2551, 2551W and/or 25519.
