BlendJet blenders class action lawsuit overview:
- Who: Luisset Figueroa and Jean Joseph filed a class action lawsuit against BlendJet Inc.
- Why: Figueroa and Joseph claim BlendJet manufactured and sold BlendJet2 blenders that break or otherwise stop working within a short period of time.
- Where: The class action lawsuit was filed in New York federal court.
BlendJet manufactured and sold BlendJet2 blenders with a defect that causes the device to break or otherwise stop working within a short period of time, a new class action lawsuit alleges.
Plaintiff Luisset Figueroa and Jean Joseph claim BlendJet, by virtue of the amount of complaints made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is aware of the alleged defect with its BlendJet2 blenders, yet continues to market them in a positive manner.
“Unbeknownst to consumers, however, Defendant’s Product systematically fails to meet its advertised functions, including, but not limited, to, “crushing ice” or any other solid food item,” the BlendJet class action states.
Figueroa and Joseph want to represent a nationwide class and New York subclass of persons who, during the maximum period of time permitted by law, purchased a BlendJet2 blender for personal, family or household purposes.
‘Shoddy manufacturing’ to blame for allegedly defective BlendJet2 blenders, class action says
Figueroa and Joseph claim the alleged defect with the BlendJet2 blenders is due to “common conduct and shoddy manufacturing” on behalf of BlendJet.
“Defendant’s misleading and deceptive practices proximately caused harm to Plaintiff and the proposed class members who suffered an injury in fact and lost money or property as a result of Defendant’s deceptive conduct,” the BlendJet class action states.
Figueroa and Joseph claim BlendJet is guilty of breach of express and implied warranties, and of violating state consumer protection statutes and New York General Business Law.
The plaintiffs are demanding a jury trial and requesting an award of compensatory, statutory and punitive damages for themselves and all class members.
In another case involving blenders, Nutribullet agreed to pay $10 million in May 2022 to resolve claims that some of its blenders are prone to overheating.

Did everything they said to do with cutting and waiting for good 2 to 3 months for the replacement that was recalled. I emailed the company and they said first come first served since they are running short on materials for making it. That’s it’s taking longer to get to people.
Please add me to the list. I purchased a BlendJet 2 for my wife and definitely doesn’t meet the claims the manufacture states. I did fill out the recall form and destroyed the base and now it has been over 2 months waiting for the replacement. I was originally told 4-6 weeks from submission of claim. That was completed on 12/28/23.
Please add me. I bought 1 and with in 6 months it quit working. They replaced it but now this one does not work after using it for a couple of weeks. The cord gets way to hot when charging or it won’t charge at all.
Please add me to this list. I bought all 4 of my kids one last year and one didn’t even work, one in mid blend just stopped and never started back up. One worked but does not work the way the commercial shows. And the other one in fact did over heat, my daughter called me and said it smelled like it was on fire, and started smoking. I told her to unplug it right away. I tried to look at it when I got home and it made a buzzing sound and just sounded like the motor blew. So we threw it away. It was a total waste of money. My regular blender worked better then these did. Please add me
I have two of the recalled products. I need to know what to do to have them replaced with a new one or get added to the class action lawsuit. Please advise.
Thank you, Dina
Mine is also in the recall. I started filling it out but stopped. Just ridiculous that it is up to me to destroy the product AND then properly dispose of the li-ion waste? I don’t think so. Please add me.
I have purchased one from the sute

I purchased 2 of the blender. The. Blade broke on one and the started to smell like rubber was burning
Agree with the other posters about the lousy choice of base colors. I bought a limited edition Lisa Frank base and none of the choices really work with the container and lid. Would prefer an entirely new unit of my choice or my money back
