Verizon Landline Third-Party Billing Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

A federal judge has granted final approval to a class action settlement between Verizon Communications Inc. and customers who say they were billed for unauthorized third-party charges to their landline phone bills. Class Members have until October 21, 2013, to receive either a $40 flat payment or a 100% refund of the unauthorized charges they paid.

Who’s Eligible

Class Members include all Verizon landline customers nationwide (including individuals, businesses and local governmental entities) who were billed for third-party charges from April 27, 2005 through February 28, 2012.

    All over the news Verizon is purchasing AOL for 4.4 billion dollars. Its a shame that they don’t pay us the money we are due. This just makes me sick to my stomach.

    I understand the checks are being distributed. What is the status of mine? I spoke with someone last week, they said my application could not be found eventho they had my confirmation number. She was to call me back, but I have not heard a word. PLEASE, someone look into this for me. Thank you. Mickey Hamilton

    Well here we go again. In July 2015 it will be 2 years since the court approved the settlement. I don’t think we are ever going to get our checks.

    What is going on I would like to know where is my refund I am one of those who belong in the first class act. So what is going on the case was settle last year I do not understand this I think you have the money in the bank it getting interest and we are hold on until you get a lot of the interest on it so you can keep it.

    Still no check. I think there should be a Class Action Lawsuit against the admins of this lawsuit. We should be getting back all the interest accrued.
