Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you had a great week!
I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler temperatures and beautiful fall colors around the country. Unfortunately, Southern California still thinks it’s summer. It’s 104 degrees today! And it’s supposed to be in the 90s the rest of the week. Is it October or July? One way we know it’s October is the Fall Classic begins today—Go Dodgers! I wonder how many World Series have started with a high of 101 degrees? That’s the forecast for Los Angeles today.
We have two new investigations that launched last week. The first one is looking for those who think they might have been tricked by Old Navy advertisements. Have you ever shopped at Old Navy and saw one of those ‘$2 Tank’ signs or ‘$19 Jeans’ signs only to find out that the ad didn’t apply to the tank top or jeans you just spent time trying on and picking out? If the answer is ‘Yes’, then this investigation is for you. The second investigation is for those who work as long-haul trucker drivers and have been misclassified as independent contractors, even though they are treated like employees.
Here are some more lawsuit and settlement updates:
That’s all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
Courtney Jorstad
