Update: Palmer v. Sprint Settlement Checks Being Processed
By Kimberly Mirando
Settlement checks for the Palmer v. Sprint solicitation call class action settlement will start going out by the end of the month, according to one of the attorneys representing the class.
“We are now advised that Sprint is in the final stages of verification of claims and calculation of payments, and payments should start no later than the end of April,” attorney Rob Williamson of Williamson & Williams told Top Class Actions.
A federal court approved the Sprint class action settlement in October 2011 but distribution of settlement funds was delayed by an objection by a settlement Class Member. The objection was overruled by the court, which was subsequently appealed by the same Class Member.
On February 14, 2013, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the District Court’s judgment and order of final approval. Claims are now being processed according to the final approval order and settlement agreement.
Current and former Sprint customers who received a solicitation/telemarketing call from Sprint between 2005 and 2011 and submitted a valid claim by the deadline of November 21, 2011 will receive one of the following awards:
– Category (1) Class Members could receive up to $500 per incident with a maximum of $2,000.
– Category (2) Class Members could receive up to $100 per incident with a maximum of $400.
– Category (3) Class Members could receive up to $500 per incident with a maximum of $2,000.
– Class Members who fall into all three categories could receive up to a maximum amount not to exceed $4,400.

Love your post kayty!!!!!!
got a check today for 60.63 today!
One main reason the settlement is so low is because everyone keeps telling their friends about claims like this. With the massive amount of claims most settlements will be a joke for now on.
Lesson to learn from this: stop telling all your friends about settlements your making the settlement amount so low it’s not worth it for anyone.
I got 80.45 today. I was expecting up 2,000. If I had knew it was going to be 80 I wouldn’t have bothered filing a claim. Obviously this settlement was just for the lawyers to make money & The court did not care about the claimants.
This was a joke. Class actions should be eliminated. Attys don’t care about individual recovery, they figured 2 million split between couple partners and they are good.
got mine- $80 – a nice surprise
Got my check today…$40.42 WOW!!
