Rana-branded meal kits sold at Costco recalled over listeria concerns
A recall last month involving a pair of Rana-branded meal kits affected products sold at Costco warehouse locations.
Rana initiated the recall over concerns the meal kits may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes in connection with a recent BrucePac recall for more than 11 million pounds of meat and poultry products.
The recall involves Rana Chicken Truffle Carbonara meal kits and Tagliatelle Grilled White Chicken & Portobello Mushroom Sauce meal kits purchased in September and October 2024.
In a letter addressed to Costco members, Ran advised those affected by the recall to avoid consuming the recalled chicken products and return them to Costco to receive a full refund.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask you to please pass this letter along to anyone to whom a Pasta Meal Kit may have been given,” Rana writes.
Multiple frozen waffle products recalled over listeria contamination concerns
TreeHouse Foods issued a recall for certain frozen waffle products last month over concerns they may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
The recall involves dozens of brands and flavors of frozen waffle products, including Food Lion, Giant Eagle, Hannaford, Harris Teeter and Simple Truth, among others.
TreeHouse distributed the recalled frozen waffles throughout the United States and Canada, according to the company, which says it discovered the potential contamination during routine testing at its manufacturing facility.
“Consumers should check their freezers for any of the products listed above and dispose of them or return the recalled product to the place of purchase for credit,” the frozen waffle recall says.

The recall involves green onions sold under Church Brothers, Trader Joe’s and Imperial Fresh brand names and distributed to retail and foodservice customers in 11 U.S. states and Canada.
“This recall is the result of a single product sample collected by (the) Canadian Food Inspection Agency that indicated the presence of salmonella,” the green onions recall says.
The recall includes certain Church Brothers’ Green Onions Iceless 4 x 2-pound Reg Church Brothers Mexico, Trader Joe’s-brand Green Onion Iceless 24 x 6-ounce Reg Trader Joe’s Mexico and Imperial Fresh-brand Green Onion Iceless 4 x 2-pound Reg products.
