Coach Store Class Action Settlement

By Matt O’Donnell

CoachA federal court has approved a class action lawsuit settlement that will provide 30%-off coupons to Coach customers who were asked to provide their personal identification information during a credit or debit card transaction at a California Coach store.

The Coach settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Coach, Inc. Song-Beverly Cases, that alleges Coach violated California law by requesting customers to provide their address, telephone number or email information with a credit card transaction.

Coach denies any wrong doing, but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation.

Class Members of the Coach class action settlement include all persons who, between February 15, 2010 and February 29, 2012, purchased merchandise with a credit card or debit card from a Coach store in California and were asked to provide their email address or mailing address.

Coach will automatically provide these Class Members whose names and email addresses or mailing addresses appear in Coach’s customer database with a discount voucher providing 30% off a future purchase at any full-price Coach store in California.

These discount vouchers will be mailed or emailed to Class Members whose information is in Coach’s customer database. If you did not receive a Coach settlement voucher and believe you are entitled to one, you may contact the Settlement Administrator by visiting the Coach Settlement Website or calling toll-free (855) 452-2745.

    How do I get the 30 percent coupon sent to my email address. Received a reminder but I do not have the coupon. The sales people at the Coach store said I needed the coupon, not the reminder . Please send it to the above email. Thank you very much.

  2. Diane says:

    I can’t find my original email from July, i believed at the time it was a hoax , until i asked about it in the store. i would now like to receive my discount but I can only find the reminder to use it before it expires. Please send me one, thank you.

  3. Lil Pino says:

    I too only received the reminder email to use the 30% coupon, but did not received the coupon. It sounds like a scam almost. Sending reminders but omitting the actual coupon. I would like a new certificate.

    Thank you,

    I’m on the same boat as everyone else leaving a comment here seems to be. I keep recieving reminder emails but don’t recall receiving the original certificate, or possibly accidently deleted it. Can I please have a new one emailed to me as well, to the email provided. Thanks!

    I also received a reminder email to use my 30% off coupon, however; when I went to the Coach Store in the Montebello Towne Center Mall in Montebello, CA the sales lady said she needed to see the email. I didn’t get reception in there so I needed to walk outside the store. Once I pulled up reminder email, the sales lady to me I needed the original email providing a barcode. This was during Christmas time & the store was packed. I was humiliated & embarrassed. Now I needed to go out of the store AGAIN and search for an email I could not locate. I understand this may be something that needs to be shown @ the time of purchase, but I also feel that should’ve been noted in the reminder email. Please send me the email w/the barcode to be able to use for a future purchase.

    Thank you,

    An embarrassed but faithful customer;
    Jessica S.
