Braga Fresh has issued a recall on one batch of 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Asian Inspired Chopped Salad Kit as the product contains undeclared milk and egg.

The recall was published to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) website July 12. 

It applies to 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Asian Inspired Salad Kits with UPC code 9948246932 and “Best By” date of July 16, 2023.

According to the notice, the product is being recalled because it contains incorrect condiment ingredients resulting in undeclared milk and egg that was not listed on the product label. 

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or egg run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product,” the company says.

No illnesses nor allergic reactions related to the recall have been reported to date, the notice states.

The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Recalled salads were sold at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide 

The recalled product, 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Asian Inspired Salad Kits were sold in bags from refrigerated display cases in the produce department at Whole Foods Market stores throughout the United States.

“Consumers who have this product in their possession should discard it,” the recall states.

Meanwhile, several companies, including Revolution Farms, Meijer and Fresh Express Inc., have initiated recalls for salad and lettuce products recently.
