Tastykake Consumers Should Throw Out or Return Recalled Cupcakes and Krimpets

The Tastykake products being recalled were distributed to retail customers in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia. To date, no injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with the recalled items.

The recall was initiated and expanded following the notification by a vendor of the possible contamination in a supplied ingredient. Flower Foods is warning customers not to consume the recalled cupcakes and krimpets, and says that the products should be thrown out or can be returned for a full refund.

Consumers with questions may call Flowers’ Consumer Relations Center or contact the company by email.

Flower Foods is one of the largest producers of packaged bakery foods in the United States. Its top brands include Nature’s Own, Dave’s Killer Bread, Wonder, Canyon Bakehouse, and Tastykake.
