The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall of more than 400 common household products sold at Family Dollar stores, as the products were stored outside their labeled temperature requirements.
The recall notice was posted to the FDA website July 21 and applies to hundreds of products of different brands, including toothpastes, deodorants, pain relief medication, antacids, sunscreens, lip balms and more.

No reports of illnesses so far
To date, the company has not received any consumer complaints or reports of illness related to this recall, it said.
The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
Family Dollar has notified its affected stores asking them to check their stock immediately and to quarantine and discontinue the sale of any affected product.
“Customers that may have bought affected product may return such product to the Family Dollar store where they were purchased without receipt,” the recall says.
The recall comes after a massive rat infestation at a Family Dollar warehouse prompted the chain to temporarily close more than 400 stores and recall a range of products in February. That incident has led to a class action lawsuit being filed against the business.
