Vivid Seats Class Action Settlement Benefits

Class Members may file claims either for a credit or a cash payment.

Some Class Members may have already received a credit on their Vivid Seats account toward the purchase of tickets for future events.

The event cancellation settlement agreement extends the expiration date for any such active, non-expired credits through Dec. 31, 2022.

Class Members do not need to take any action to receive this benefit.

However, those who would prefer a cash payment equal to the price of the ticket purchase (including base price, fees, and delivery charges, but excluding insurance charges and any amount paid with a gift card or store or loyalty credit) must submit a claim form.

Anyone who purchased a ticket through Vivid Seats on or before April 1, 2021, to an event between Sept. 29, 2016, and April 1, 2021, that was postponed or rescheduled but was canceled until after April 1, 2021, will be entitled to injunctive relief under the event cancellation settlement agreement.

These Vivid Seats class action settlement Class Members will automatically be entitled to a credit on their account toward the purchase of tickets to future events equal to 110 percent of the purchase price of the ticket or tickets they purchased, less any amount already paid or spent in credit. The credit will be valid through Dec. 31, 2022.

Alternatively, these Class Members may choose to receive a cash payment equal to their ticket purchase price, less any amounts paid using gift cards or store or loyalty credit, to the postponed or rescheduled event that was later cancelled, less any amount already paid or spent in credit. Class Members electing to receive this cash payment must request it from Vivid Seats within 21 days of receiving notice that the rescheduled or postpone event has been cancelled.

A final approval hearing in the Vivid Seats class action settlement is scheduled for Aug. 10, 2021.

The deadline for Class Members to ask to be excluded from or object to the settlement is July 15, 2021.

  1. Shanelle says:

I thought I received the settlement cheque but after having it bounce at the bank, was told the wrong amounts were sent out and then cancelled. I was told my proper cheque was being sent out in 7-10 business days. I still haven’t received it, about 2 months later. I’ve emailed back twice with no reply. Does anyone know how to contact someone by phone or otherwise?
