Verizon Landline Third-Party Billing Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

A federal judge has granted final approval to a class action settlement between Verizon Communications Inc. and customers who say they were billed for unauthorized third-party charges to their landline phone bills. Class Members have until October 21, 2013, to receive either a $40 flat payment or a 100% refund of the unauthorized charges they paid.

Who’s Eligible

Class Members include all Verizon landline customers nationwide (including individuals, businesses and local governmental entities) who were billed for third-party charges from April 27, 2005 through February 28, 2012.

    I notice the settlement date keeps changing. First it was March 2013, then April 2013. Now we have until June to file a claim. When do we get our settlement. We have waited long enough to recover money we already expended.

    I requested a summary for third party charges on november 2nd.2012 and never got a respomse. When a re-requsted that info in Feb2014,I got a letter sayin g the deadline has passed. WHAT GIVES???

    I canceled my Verizon account for fraudulent billing practises and I am still paying that bill after over 12 months. I was never contacted as a damaged member or party to the suit
