Case Name
Lee v. Stonebridge Life Insurance Company & Trifecta Marketing Group LLC, Case No. 3:11-cv-00043-RS, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, San Francisco Division.
Case Summary
The TCPA class action lawsuit alleges that Stonebridge authorized Trifecta to send unsolicited text messages that stated, “Thanks 4 visiting our website please call 877-711-5429 to claim your $100 walmart gift card voucher! reply stop 2 unsub.” The text messages may have varied by offering a different dollar amount for the gift card voucher or included a different toll-free number. According to the class action lawsuit, consumers who called the number in the text message would be offered Stonebridge life insurance products by Trifecta.
The text message spam class action lawsuit alleges that Stonebridge and Trifecta violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act because consumers did not agree to receive those text messages.
Stonebridge and Trifecta deny the allegations, but agreed to settle the class action lawsuit to avoid burdensome and costly litigation. The class action settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing.

Diane have you heard anything else?? I haven’t seen you on TCA FB page….Thanks
Yep, my claim was also denied!
Has anyone else received their check? Thanks
I finally heard back from them and my claim was denied because my text that I received was after the cut off date. You must have received the text between Nov. 28, 2010 through Dec. 2, 2010.
Received my check here in Elizabethtown, PA today for $137.15.
this is november 16,2014 and i still haven’t received my refund check. please help me someone
You need to call the class lawyers at 312 589 6370. The class lawyers represent you as a member of the class. That means they work for you, so don’t be scared to call. They are not responsible for distributing payment (the Settlement Administrator is), but they can reach the Administrator and ask what’s going on with your claim.
Call and explain your situation calmly and in detail. Explain when you submitted your claim, and how it seems that nobody has received a check. Their job is to help you, but you have to be clear and detailed when you call. Good luck!
TO JUSTIN.
I usually don’t respond to such crude remarks.
I happen to have a job, with the federal government for the past 23 years.
Wondering do you have a job????? Or is it you must really hate women, or
is it you are intimated by them.. So maybe its time you take a look in the
mirror, and think about the words you put on here, you might just see a
image of yourself looking back at you.
Oh and have a good day.
I total agree with you, what are we suppose to do write every text we get with date and
time to qualify for the claim, but that is what she said time frame that the text were sent
11/28/2010 to 12/01/2010. She told me that she had the list of all numbers that were called
its funny that you said a limited amount of checks go out. I got 2 checks in January from
the STEVE MADDEN text message lawsuit. They were $419.00 each.
I guess I was the lucky of the draw then. Anyway good luck to you.
Got my call they said my number was not on list
the time frame is nov 28 to dec 1 she said that there
was the time frame that the text messages were sent.
I have 5 lines on my phone I gave them all to her she said
none was on list. So good luck to everyone!!
It’s quite obvious that they limited as many checks as possible. There is no method to fact check or validate based on what you’re saying. Just some likely arbitrary list. I just received a call back but missed it before I left for lunch. Then I call back and its an answering machine. Sorry man, but I’m sure I’m in the same boat…they can just say “your number isn’t on the list” and there’s no recourse. That’s almost as big a joke as these bogus texts we got in the first place.
I called the 866 number and that has a all circuits busy sound. I also called the number on which Mel had a call back…312-589-6370. That number was answered and it was Edelson PC, Class representation.
I think the guy who answered was surprised about my check inquiry of Lee Text Message Class Action.
I told him that although the Admin claimed to have sent out the checks before Oct 31, 2014, that no one seemed to have received any according to the TCA website. He said that they were checking on it and when I pressed for a timeline, he just said they were looking into it. My response was that for the money they were receiving for this settlement that his response was somewhat casual. IMO, not very professional. No one is being held to any responsibility here. Court docs do not appear on Admin website.
I am going to call tomorrow. I have to go to work, don’t get off until 1230am.
Everyone needs to call. We are getting their attention..
