A settlement has been reached in the Sprint premium SMS lawsuit, resolving claims that Sprint Corp. consumers were charged by the phone provider for unauthorized third-party services on their monthly cellphone bill by premium SMS companies. Premium SMS companies provide services like ringtones, wallpapers, and horoscope and celebrity gossip text messages. This Sprint Premium SMS settlement is not related to direct carrier billings or Google Play charges through a Sprint wireless phone.
This premium SMS lawsuit was first brought against Sprint in December 2014 by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal government agency. This lawsuit alleges that Sprint violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act when the wireless phone provider allegedly charged its consumers for unauthorized third-party charges. This Sprint premium SMS settlement will provide monetary and injunctive relief for Sprint consumers.
Sprint denies all liability in this premium SMS lawsuit, but has decided to settle in order to avoid future court and attorney costs, as well as the uncertainty of continued litigation.

9 months from Dec. 2015 claim form deadline would be Sept. and now Oct. has passed as well. I did submit a BBB complaint this week.
I have not gotten one yet either. However, the letter did state not to expect anything for at least 9 months.
I am going to make a complaint with the BBB if payment doesn’t happen by the Sept. 30. 2016. I would recommend anyone else to do the same.
Pasted September 30th
What pasted September 30th this irritating me that no one have any updates and I did complaints and still nothing I can really use the money
What pasted September 30th this irritating me that no one have any updates and I did complaints and still nothing I can really use the money. I never had this happen before taking this long
What is Happening? Is there anyway to get ahold of this people. Starting to get worried someone just took the money and ran.
This is just Wow!!
Updates?
This is not a class action lawsuit. It is run by the administrative governments of all the carriers with 3rd party billing. There are no attorneys. Still waiting! That is why if autumn comes and goes and still no refund then it is the BBB the FTC and the attorney general. They are not untouchable, but at the moment unreachable as they have taken that part of the call roster out of the lineup.
Watch it is going to take a while since no one knowswhen the checks a getting mailed out and when sprint got sued the last time it didn’t take this long to get the check. If any one has any updates
Still waiting that card claims 999.00 is owed to me…
Did you get your check
I had three phone and with unauthorised payments and it has to be over $2,000 dollars in claims this will be the longest time to get a check from lawsuit I was with another phone company and it didn’t take this long to get
