A settlement has been reached in the Sprint premium SMS lawsuit, resolving claims that Sprint Corp. consumers were charged by the phone provider for unauthorized third-party services on their monthly cellphone bill by premium SMS companies. Premium SMS companies provide services like ringtones, wallpapers, and horoscope and celebrity gossip text messages. This Sprint Premium SMS settlement is not related to direct carrier billings or Google Play charges through a Sprint wireless phone.
This premium SMS lawsuit was first brought against Sprint in December 2014 by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal government agency. This lawsuit alleges that Sprint violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act when the wireless phone provider allegedly charged its consumers for unauthorized third-party charges. This Sprint premium SMS settlement will provide monetary and injunctive relief for Sprint consumers.
Sprint denies all liability in this premium SMS lawsuit, but has decided to settle in order to avoid future court and attorney costs, as well as the uncertainty of continued litigation.

I have been charged fees by Sprint and Virgin Mobile without basis and questioned them but no solution.
I was duped into thinking that I was an getting a great rate under the framily plan only to find out months later that I was switched to on a higher rate and was told that framily plan was no longer available. Couldn’t afford to stay with sprint and now I’m still getting calls for payment. Please advise
I am having a ripoff situation for the first time with sprint myself.Im obviously not alone.I guess they enjoy class action lawsuits.
Is this settlement Sprint PSMS different from Sprint Premium Data class action suit?
Sprint reneged on a promotion involving rebates and did not explain the Framily Plan. They refused to pay the $200 per line rebate promised to us at the time we transferred to Sprint. We would have transferred to a different Sprint plan, had they given us the rebates promised! We have been with another company for 6 months, but Sprint still thinks we owes them for the phones we turned in. Stay away from Sprint.
I’m over paying for service I don’t get. Drop calls takes a long time to get on internet. I have to call them once or twice a week about their service. They always tell me the Tower is out. But I’m still with them after 13 years crazy me. But I have noticed that I had 9.99 on my bill. They just told me somebody ordered something . I did pay for it after 4-5 months I didn’t know what was going on. They did give me only one of the 9.99 back.
The same thing happened to me… they refused to go back. I wasnt looking for a purchase I had never ordered, so I was surprised when they refused to refund it.
I am done with Sprint once my contract is up.
I would simply like to be refunded the account balance on my phone service when I terminate. Is this possible?
I cannot file a claim, but I just found out I had a reoccurring $9.99 charge on my Sprint bill. How can I file a claim? Thanks.
In many cases when I have wanted to file claims especially against phone companies I am no longer with, I do not remember the phone numbers or the account numbers associated. What recourse have I?
