Telebrands Corporation has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it made false and misleading statements regarding its Pocket Hose expandable garden hoses. If you purchased Pocket Hose products, you may be entitled to a cash payment from this class action settlement.
The Pocket Hose class action lawsuit alleges Telebrands made false and misleading statements in connection with the sale and marketing of certain Pocket Hose products. The plaintiffs also assert that the Pocket Hose products are defective.
The Pocket Hose was reportedly first introduced through television infomercials. The expandable garden hose was advertised as “a rugged and durable garden hose” that is “strong enough for any job.”
However, consumers have complained that the Pocket Hose is defective because it is prone to leak or burst when used in the manner advertised. This defect renders the Pocket Hose useless, the consumers allege.
Telebrands denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the Pocket Hose class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation. The Telebrands class action settlement was preliminarily approved on Nov. 4, 2016.
If you would like to exclude yourself from or object to the Pocket Hose settlement, you must do so no later than Feb. 20, 2017.
Telebrands has previously agreed to settle a class action lawsuit involving similar allegations. That Pocket Hose settlement provided cash benefits to consumers who purchased the products between Nov. 6, 2009 and Jan. 30, 2014.

There’s no way I would submit my SS# via online. I’ve purchased several of the pocket hoses, had the same issues, poor quality is an understatement.
YOUR UPLOAD OPTION DOESN’T WORK FOR POCKETHOSE
I’m another reasonable person that refuses to give their SSN. I wonder if they want to 1099 people?
Yeah, SSN = no go. I bought one of those hoses and it split at the seams after like 2 months. Oh well.
I bought the hose for my husband. What a dissappoinment.
Giving out my SS# is not worth any money they are offering.
I guess it teaches a company not to lie.
in the end the Lawyers make out
I have purchase 3 of these hoses but I refuse to give them my Social Security number. Well I guess I am out 3 hoses and the 21.00 dollars….
the claim form is broken, not worth the time
This claim form is all kinds of F* up.
1- They ask for you SSN. WTF?
2- They will not let you enter a date that actually falls within the valid claim dates
(Pocket Hose settlement provided cash benefits to consumers who purchased the products between Nov. 6, 2009 and Jan. 30, 2014.)
They FORCE you to enter a date between 2/1/14 and 12/31/16, which are NOT valid dates for the claim. SO, this means they won’t have to pay you that measly $7.
This is one of the WORST gimmicks used to not allow consumers to file. They’re a**holes.
I would like to know why your Social Security number is needed to file a claim?
I keep getting this message:
The following errors have occurred:
Please make sure date matches todays date
How can I get it to work? I’m using the correct date.
I just entered a claim and had no problem…. try again: https://www.pockethosesettlement.com/claimform.dtm
