Bloomingdale's credit card

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging improper automated calls were made for debt collection purposes in connection with Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s credit card accounts. If you received an automated call to your cell phone from Department Stores National Bank and/or FDS Bank for debt collection purposes regarding a Macy’s and/or Bloomingdale’s credit card account between Sept. 3, 2009 and July 22, 2015, you may be entitled to a cash payment from the class action settlement.

Plaintiff Ameer A. Hashw filed the credit card class action settlement alleging that the defendants violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by placing calls to cell phones using and auto dialer and/or prerecorded message without first obtaining consent from the call recipient.

  1. MIke says:

Approximately 250,000 valid claim forms have been submitted, to be
divided pro rata from a fund that will contain nearly $8.3 million dollars.8
    In other
words, each claimant will receive approximately $33.20 ($8.3 million divided by 250,000
    claimants)

  2. Crystal Ann Marmarou says:

we have been waiting to hear something back from the claims department for awhile now…i highly doubt the amount will be 28 dollars…..the settlement will be around 750.00…possibly more…just hang in there and wait to hear from the claims department or just wait for the check to be mailed to you..

  3. Ashes11 says:

When do we get the payment?

  4. sharp301 says:

the actual amount is $28.74, according to the fact finding court documents

    1. Eric says:

I highly doubt all 214k claims will get approved. That means 214k people were default on their Macys card at some point.

  5. wow says:

$28 dollars for this settlement , cant wait

    1. Lisa says:

When does we get 28 dollers?

    2. Leroy Jenkins says:

Right. All the money goes into the pockets of the lawyers. They get MILLIONS when they werent even wronged. Funny how that works…thats why they take class cases like this knowing that people will only get a fraction after court costs and attorney fees.

  6. Bryanna Johnson says:

They are not answering the phone. Does anyone know why their phones are down?

  7. Bryanna Johnson says:

    Why are there phones down?

  8. Jen says:

The link to the website seems to be down. Does anyone know if the settlement was approved. Regardless, Macy’s had predatory debt collection practices and I am glad to see they are being held accountable now.

  9. Kyle says:

I also mailed in the claim form, it was returned back to me saying that the address on the claim form was inaccurate? It was a pre-printed claim form. I do not want to be excluded!

  10. Karanjit Bola says:
