U by Kotex Tampons Settlement Checks
TCA viewers have received settlement checks worth as much as $48.45 from a U by Kotex tampons class action settlement.
A $7 million settlement ended the class action lawsuit which alleged U by Kotex tampons could come unraveled or otherwise come apart while in women’s bodies.
Months before the class action lawsuit was filed, a recall was issued for the tampons after consumers reported the problem with the product coming apart.
The plaintiffs claimed the tampons that came unraveled were difficult to remove; some even said the products unraveled while still in the package, before they were even used.
Consumers eligible to benefit from the settlement were those who bought U by Kotex Sleek Tampons, U by Kotex Fitness Tampons, U by Kotex Click Tampons and U by Kotex Security Tampons in Regular, Super or Super-Plus Absorbency between March 8, 2013 and Nov. 19, 2019.
The deadline to file a claim was Aug. 18, 2020.
The U by Kotex Tampons Class Action Lawsuit is Moore v. Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc., Case No. 19 L 0846, in the Circuit Court for the 20th Judicial Circuit, County of St. Clair, State of Illinois.
Mercedes HVAC Class Action Settlement Checks
Other TCA viewers who have filed claim forms in a Mercedes HVAC class action settlement have reported receiving checks worth $300.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claimed their vehicles had a defect that caused a buildup of mold and mildew in the HVAC system.
According to the class action lawsuit, the carmaker was aware the issue existed, but failed to implement a fix.
The plaintiffs said the company offered to clean the affected vehicles’ HVAC systems and replace the cabin air filters; however, these measures were only a temporary solution.
Mercedes-Benz has not admitted any wrongdoing.
The settlement terms allow Class Members to be reimbursed up to 100% for related HVAC repairs. The amount each Class Member is eligible to collect depends on their vehicle’s age and mileage.
Consumers who own or previously owned or leased one of the affected Mercedes-Benz models were eligible to make a claim.
The following Mercedes-Benz models are covered by the settlement:
- 2008 to 2019 C-Class
- 2010 to 2015 GLK-Class

Just got my check in the mail. None of the four mobile apps I have tried to deposit it using will accept it because of the size (postcard and oddball writing on the back). I wonder if the settlement firm gets to keep all the money from undeposited checks.
Unable to deposit my check for 7.64 not a good check
Yes, I have tried four different apps and none like it because of the size.
I also received mine today, thank goodness for the comment someone left each earlier lol because I could not get it to deposit for the life of me. So if you place an envelope of white piece of paper over the part where your address and just leave the”Endorse here” part showing it WILL WORK. Guess it has to be the length of what a regular check looks like you accept it. How this helps!!!!
Supposed to be added to this and I never got myself
I have not received my refund on the u by kotex settlement.
