The settlement benefits California consumers who purchased an unlimited data plan from AT&T and, before March 31, 2021, exceeded AT&T’s applicable data usage threshold for any user on the account for one or more monthly billing cycles such that the user would have been eligible for AT&T to slow or deprioritize data usage in those billing cycles under AT&T’s network management policies.

According to plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, AT&T misled consumers by promising them unlimited data and then throttling their data speeds once they exceeded a certain usage threshold. Consumers say they wouldn’t have paid for unlimited plans if they knew AT&T would limit their data usage.

AT&T agreed to pay $12 million to resolve the settlement. Consumers could receive payments of up to $24 from the settlement. Our viewers report receiving checks and electronic payments of $23.50.

The deadline to submit a claim with the settlement was Aug. 13, 2021.

The AT&T data throttling class action lawsuit is Roberts, et al. v. AT&T, Case No. 3:15-cv-03418-EMC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Is there a class action suit against AT&T for interrupting our email service by stating we entered the wrong password? When we did enter the correct one. Then sending a code to our phone to change our email password only the code never comes… Now all the talking in the world and providing all information does not help. Now having to wait 30 days for the USPS to deliver a letter from AT&T with the code, in which time online accounts that can only be paid or even talk to someone is impossible and get behind on payments. No matter how much ID, Phone information or information of any kind will not help, “AI can not be wrong” and there is nothing they can do. This happened to us 4 times, every other email from AT&T (AD’s) and all other companies in the world emails came through but not the email with the code from AT&T’s AI… If there is a class action going on against AT&T for this cause I’m in, if not start one and I’m in… I hope this did not fall on deaf ears… If it happened to us it had to happen to others I’m sure… I Thank You for Your Time!
