President of TCA

Good morning, everyone!
I hope you had a super awesome week! Thank you to Sarah for posting last week’s update. Between meetings with clients and partners, and family, I was swamped last week. That’s, of course, an AWESOME thing! It means you’ll get MORE from Top Class Actions this year! More law firms, more cases, more settlements, and more ACTION!
We’re really looking to make 2018 our best year ever. I know, I know—it’s what you’re supposed to do as an upstart business, but it’s critical to remember that as you grow. We’ve been doing this for 10 YEARS! Heck, 9 years ago it was just me and Sarah! Now we’ve got 20 people who work together to keep this machine running and growing! In fact, if I play my cards right, we’ll be adding MORE people to the TCA fold in the next month or so. It’s scary, but growth is GOOD! Part of being an entrepreneur is taking educated guesses and RUNNING full tilt once you make those guesses. In this case, it’s adding awesome people to the team, so I’m feeling good about it!
On the work side of things, we’re adding more investigations to the mix soon. Thanks to my meetings in Hawaii, we are increasing the ongoing count and adding some things that I think will really benefit our viewers. It’s crazy the ideas that gain life as you’re throwing a football across a pool to attorneys and chatting. You’re not in “work mode,” but as entrepreneurs, you’re ALWAYS in work mode. You’re in “chillax” mode. (Yes, I said “chillax.” I’m not afraid to bring a word back from the 90s!) You’re enjoying the company of friends, bouncing legal ideas off each other, and BOOM! You’ve got an idea for a new investigation (or three.) All of a sudden you go from “fun” to “SUPER AWESOME FUN! LET’S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!” That was the Hawaii conference in a nutshell. Super fun, super productive, made new friends, and created new relationships, which will be awesome long term.
Next week? Next week you get photos and video from my SCUBA dives! I FREAKING HEARD WHALES SINGING TO EACH OTHER!!!! Yeah. Bucket list item, checked off!
OK, back to work! On to more lawsuit and settlement updates.
That’s all for now! Make it an AWESOME week!
Warm Regards,
Scott Hardy
President/CEO
