Thousands of infant sleeping bags sold at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores nationwide are being recalled due to neck openings that are too large for infants and pose suffocation hazards.

According to the recall issued last week, the sleeping bags, which were sold under several brand names, can allow an infant’s head to slip into and be covered by the sleeping bag, posing a risk of suffocation.

The bags are hazardous for babies between the ages of 0 and 6 months old.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant sleep bags and contact (T.J. Maxx and Marshalls’ parent company, The TJX Companies Inc.) for instructions on how to participate in the recall and receive their choice of either a full refund or a store gift card,” the recall notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission states.

No injuries have been reported so far, according to the recall notice.

The bags were sold under the brand names Dylan & Abby, First Wish, First Wish Organic, Harry & Me, Little Red Caboose, Piper & Posie, Sam & Jo, Sam & Jo Organic, Shabby Chic and Willow Blossom. They were available for purchase at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores and on both companies’ websites, as well as at sienna.com.

According to the alert, the recalled bags, which zip up in the middle or to the side of the front, were sold in a variety of colors and designs, including animals, dinosaur bones, splatter paint, circus designs, construction, cars, florals, clouds, robots, stars, monsters and firetrucks.

The brand name and size are printed on two labels at the back of the neck, with the style number printed on the inside side seam behind the care label.

Sounds like this product is made in china by prison labor. Just another reason to discontinue purchasing dangerous, shoddy and often dangerous and poison goods made in china and bring the jobs back to the USA. How much more of this BS are we willing to take just to save a couple dollars?
