olympic-paint-peelingOlympic Rescue It! Resurfacer, a product with claims that appear to be bigger than what it delivers, is generating a growing number of complaints from consumers.

Olympic Rescue It! Resurfacer is a cross between a paint and a stain. According to the manufacturer, Olympic Rescue It! Resurfacer is supposed to bring life back to wood and concrete surfaces that have become old and worn out, such as patios and decks.

Angry customers have complained the product fails. Not only does it not bring life back to these surfaces, they complained, it peels and cracks in short order.

Essentially, many consumers have said, it’s a waste of time and money.

The most common issues experienced with this product include:

  • Peeling
  • Bubbling
  • Refinished surface becoming very hot
  • Not waterproof (as claimed)
  • Splinters flaking
  • Failure to effectively fill cracks (as claimed)
  • Difficulty removing the failed product

According to customers, Olympic Rescue It! Resurfacer began peeling and bubbling off the applied surfaces anywhere between a couple of weeks to a few months after initial application. This  has forced customers to redo their work, first by removing the reportedly defective product and then redoing their decks with another product.

If you used Olympic Rescue It! Resurfacer to refinish and stain your wooden deck or concrete patio only to have it peel or crack months after applying the product, you may be able to individually file an Olympic stain lawsuit, or join an Olympic stain class action lawsuit.

  1. Stephen Kuber says:

We used Olympic rescue it for church ramp and start peeling away after the first year although the the deck was pressure washed and dried before application is still peel and again needs to be resurfaced. We are definitely not pleased with the duration this product held up.
