all-natural-logoClass action attorneys are now searching for qualifying consumers who claim they paid a premium for a supposed natural or all natural personal care products, to join an all natural personal care products investigation. According to reports, many all natural personal care products have been mislabeled and allegedly contain synthetic materials and chemicals, meaning that hundreds if not thousands of U.S. consumers may have been misled by false labeling by various personal care product manufacturers.

Background on Natural Labeling for Personal Care Products

Recently, Transparency Market Research published a study that states that in 2012 the global demand for organic or natural personal care products totaled to over $7.6 billion and that this demand for all natural beauty products and personal care products will grow to about $13.5 billion by 2018 if the market projections hold.

However, another trend that has also been growing over the past few years has been the number of all natural personal care product lawsuits and personal care product class action lawsuits filed by consumers against manufacturers who allegedly sell falsely labeled beauty and body care products.

Because of the growing trend of environmental and health conscious consumers, market research shows that eco-friendly, natural personal care products is a lucrative market with a potential for great revenue for companies that manufacture all natural personal care and body care products. In fact, Kline and Company conducted a Natural Personal Care Global Series report, which found that the sale of natural personal care products in the global market increased by 10 percent in 2014 alone.

This same report also found that consumers are becoming more and more aware that just because a product may bear an all natural or natural label does not mean a manufacturer did not use synthetic chemicals to make their product. Consumers investing in all natural cosmetics and personal care products are seeking truly natural products and may file all natural personal care products lawsuits and class action lawsuits against manufacturers they discover have falsely labeled products as natural or all natural.

All Natural Personal Care Product Labeling Litigation

The government does not currently have a precise definition of what qualifies as a natural product or what can precisely can be labeled as natural or all natural. However, a reasonable consumer would expect a natural personal care product to be made up of quality natural ingredients including, but not limited to, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and other naturally occurring materials. All natural shampoo and other supposed natural beauty care products would be expected not to contain artificial coloring, flavors, chemical preservatives, or synthetic or artificial manufactured ingredients.

By joining a natural personal care product class action investigation, you may be entitled to compensation, such as a cash refund, for all natural products you purchased that were later discovered to allegedly contain chemical ingredients. For example, qualified Class Members of the recently settled Arm & Hammer “Natural” Deodorant class action lawsuit can potentially recover a $4 cash refund for every unit of Arm & Hammer natural deodorant purchased.
