MoGreet Text Spam Class Action SettlementClass Members who participated in the MoGreet text spam class action settlement should be receiving payments sometime in mid June, according to court documents.

The MoGreet class action settlement was granted final approval on April 3, putting an end to allegations the mobile text platform allowed nearly two dozen retailers to send spam text messages to consumers that contained advertisements.  Retailers included Burger King, Cash America, Charlotte Russe, Cox, Domino’s Pizza, Gamefly, Jack in the Box, Mattel, and many more.

Class Members who received a text message from one of these retailers were eligible to submit a claim by June 2, 2014 to receive up to $105 from the class action settlement.

According to the terms of the MoGreet settlement, the Settlement Administrator will issue payments to eligible Class Members within 70 days after the class action settlement has been finally approved and/or after any appeals have been resolved in favor of the settlement.

As of June 4, court records for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, Chancery Division, where the MoGreet class action lawsuit was litigated, did not show an appeal had been filed. That means settlement checks should be issued by June 12.

No further information on the status of the MoGreet settlement check distribution has been posted to the Settlement website: www.lockettclassaction.com.

I spoke with a representative today… NO CHECKS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED
I asked why, he had no comment. I asked do we contact the court, he said they would not have information, I said maybe everyone of the who has a claim needs to contact the court and let
them now, that the administrator, has not issued the checks and has taken the website down
THE REPRESENTATIVE JUST HUNG UP ON ME.

Called 888-985-9195 an spoke to Kenny a claims administrator. He stated that according to their system payments had not yet been mailed out but that there were no appeals listed. Kenny stated that payments should be expected any time between now and 4th of July. If payments aren’t received by July 4th, he stated to call back and request an update on the claim payments.

    1. Don says:

With all due respect, how could it be possible to expect payments start in now if none have been mailed out. “By july 4th” maybe, but then he would have some kind of idea when they would be mailed out. They are just being too shady go my liking
