Details on how to file a claim for the LCD panel class action lawsuit settlement have finally been released. If you purchased a laptop, computer monitor or television with a flat-panel LCD display between January 1, 1999 and December 31, 2006 manufactured by Toshiba, LG, AU Optronics, Samsung, Sharp, Hitachi, Epson, Chimei, Chunghwa or HannStar, you may be eligible to receive at least $25 cash from the class action settlement.
The LCD monitor settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled In re: TFT-LCD (Flat Panel) Antitrust Litigation, that alleges the LCD manufacturers listed above engaged in a price-fixing conspiracy to fix, raise, maintain or stabilize the prices of TFT-LCD flat panels, resulting in consumers overpaying for TVs, laptops and computer monitors containing the panels. The Defendants deny any wrongdoing, but have agreed to pay a combined $1.1 billion class action lawsuit settlement to provide refunds to U.S. consumers.
The LCD class action settlement only covers consumers who purchased INDIRECTLY from these companies. “Indirectly” means that you purchased an LCD panel in a television, monitor or notebook computer from someone other than the manufacturer of that panel (such as at Best Buy, Amazon.com, etc.). The states covered under the LCD class action settlement include:
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Florida
Hawaii
Iowa
Kansas
Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
Mississippi
Missouri
Nevada
New Mexico
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Rhode Island
South Dakota
Tennessee
Vermont
West Virginia
Wisconsin
To receive a cash refund from the LCD class action settlement, you must submit a claim form to the Settlement Administrator on or before December 6, 2012. Claim forms can be submitted online at www.LCDClass.com.
The amount of money you will receive from the settlement will be based on how many claims are filed as well as the number/type of LCD flat panel product you purchased, but the minimum amount you will receive is $25. A claim for the purchase of an LCD flat panel TV will be given twice the value as a claim for the purchase of a monitor or notebook computer.
Payments will be distributed after the Court grants final approval of the LCD panel settlement and any appeals are resolved. A Final Fairness Hearing is set for November 29, 2012.

Its a shame that the rules were broken in this instance by the court administrator…if the deadline for filing claims was December 12, 2012, why are claims still being accepted up to June 14, 2014…those who followed the rules and submitted timely claims are the ones being short changed here, this judge should do the right thing and only honor those claims that were timely filed.
june 13, 2014 all appeals have dismissed. distribution expected in the fall 2014. the website has updated. this is the LCD indirect purchase.
The wait is on. 2015 to 2018 WOW!!!
Dear Claimant:
You are being sent this email because you filed a claim in the LCD Indirect Purchaser Class Action Settlement. This email is to provide an update on the court proceedings in this case which directly affect when payments will be disbursed under the Settlement.
As of April 2013, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California had granted Final Approval of settlements with all of the Defendants in this case. Soon thereafter, appeals were filed by individuals/entities who had objected to the settlements, which appeals are currently pending in the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Based on experience with that court, it is expected that those appeals will not be scheduled for oral argument until the winter or spring of 2015, at the earliest. After oral argument, it could take one to three years for the entire appeal process to be finally concluded.
Unfortunately, distribution of Settlement Funds cannot occur until after the appeals are all resolved. Hence, at this point, the date of the distribution is unknown but could be delayed for years.
Receipt of this email does not mean that your claim has been deemed eligible.
