spilled baby powderFor decades, Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder has been a go-to product for thousands of women for feminine hygiene use.

However, countless consumers claim that Johnson & Johnson’s product has caused them to develop ovarian cancer. As a result, many baby powder cancer lawsuits have been filed against the drug manufacturer for failing to warn  of the risk.

Johnson’s Baby Powder and Shower to Shower have both been targeted in baby powder cancer lawsuits after women allegedly developed ovarian cancer from using the product.

It has been suggested that up to 40 percent of women use baby powder for feminine hygiene. But what many do not know is that this baby powder use could increase their risk of developing ovarian cancer by as much as 24 percent.

The primary danger with Johnson & Johnson’s products is one of the ingredients: talcum powder. Talcum powder has the ability to remain undetected in the body for years before symptoms develop. The talcum powder can lead to ovarian cancer because the powder can cause inflammation inside the body which then allows cancer cells to develop.

Talcum powder has often been compared to asbestos both because it has the ability to remain undetected in the body for years (asbestos can take decades before cancer signs appear) but also in its ability to cause a deadly cancer.

Asbestos is a known carcinogen. While talcum powder does not have that status, many women are already aware of the dangers it could bring.

Johnson & Johnson has been accused of failing to warn against baby powder cancer. Women who have developed ovarian cancer after using Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder or Shower to Shower have filed baby powder cancer lawsuits making that claim.

While the drug maker allegedly marketed their talcum powder products to women for feminine hygiene purposes, there is nothing on the product that indicates it is safe for such use or any warnings against potential side effects. The only warning is to keep the baby powder out of the eyes of children.

Although baby powder and Shower to Shower is considered safe, household products, many claim they have developed deadly ovarian cancer because of these products.

Baby powder cancer lawsuits can help an individual win compensation for their pain and suffering, any medical bills, loss of wages, and more.
