De Beers Diamond Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Approved
By Scott Hardy
The De Beers diamond class action lawsuit has been hotly contested and delayed by challenges, appeals and extensive litigation but it has finally been approved. We received word about this, not from the attorneys working the case, but from Top Class Actions viewer Mary S. who noticed the change on the Settlement Administrator’s website. Remember, you the viewer, help make Top Class Actions what it is by your comments on our lawsuit pages, the claims you submit to settlement administrators, and the lawsuit information you submit to us.

Got my check today. Expected a bit more but guess
anything is better than nothing.
I received a check today. Almost fainted. I did keep a copy of my claim from 2008 and the newspaper article. Never thought it would actually happen.
I received a check as well today!
I got my check today. How do I know it is legitimate? No watermark is apparent.
think of all the money that might be left over from people that have moved and or died or moved over seas gone to jail or what ever
If the consumers ever do get anything. Does anyone know the true amount, percent of purchase price; we can expect. What takes so long? I bet if their payment took this long, things would be a lot quicker. This is beyond reason.
I filed a claim as well as the rest of you and was promised that settlement check will be going-out in February 2013, well it’s now 02/27/13 and I still have no information or a check. This is a Scam in my book so if your waiting for a check, good luck! What needs to be done is one of two options, one file a complaint with your state attorney general’s office or two file your own legal action for breach of contract in local courts.

I received a response from the Claims Administrator on February 25that simply said, “The Claims Administrator is conducting final claim audits. We anticipate that the distribution of settlement funds to other subclasses will take place in early 2013.”
To Lisa – you would have gotten a written confirmation of your claim with a Reference Number from Shawn Sullivan a long time ago – I did when I filed Online back in 2008!! To Rob – I sent an email to the Administrator last week and received the exact same response. I think we all have to realize that these folks want to delay payments for as L O N G as possible.
