Coca-Cola rewards program class action lawsuit overview:

The Coca-Cola Co. sells products with rewards program codes that do not actually benefit consumers, a new class action lawsuit alleges.
Plaintiff Glenn Coe claims Coca-Cola’s reward program only allows consumers to donate their accumulated rewards to preselected charities of the company’s choice.
Coe argues Coca-Cola’s reward codes are effectively unlawful “trading stamps” since consumers are unable to actually redeem them for anything of value.
“Defendant continues to sell Coke products with reward codes even though the only benefit is to donate their accumulated value to one of its selected nonprofit groups,” the Coca-Cola class action states.
Coe argues Coca-Cola’s rewards program is marketed “contrary to state law” due to it not having “legibly printed upon (their) face a cash value determined by the company in cents or any fraction thereof.”
Coca-Cola class action claims consumers unable to redeem codes for cash
Due to not having a stated cash value, consumers are unable to redeem the codes for cash when presenting them to the company, the Coca-Cola class action alleges.
“This requirement was designed to prevent customers, like Plaintiff, from being left without any value in the event of their accumulation of non-redeemable reward codes,” the class action states.
Coe claims Coca-Cola is guilty of unjust enrichment, negligent representation and fraud and in violation of multiple state consumer fraud acts, the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act and New York General Business Law.
Coe wants to represent a New York class and a multistate consumer fraud subclass of individuals who have purchased a Coca-Cola product that came with a rewards code.
He demands a jury trial and requests injunctive relief along with monetary, statutory and/or punitive damages for himself and all class members.
A consumer filed a separate class action against Coca-Cola last month over claims the company failed to properly pay its workers following last year’s hack of Kronos’ timekeeping systems.

Add me to the lawsuit. I saved hundreds of 12/15/24 count boxes of Coke over years. When I go to redeem them the program was stopped. Coke sucks, their prices are ridiculous and I just switched to Pepsi. F the Coca Cola company. Un-American sobs
