Aquasana leaking water filter faucetAfter numerous consumers reported leaking Aquasana water filter problems, a class action investigation has been launched to examine potential legal claims.

The leaking Aquasana water filter problems have allegedly caused significant flooding and property damage, but the company has reportedly not responded to the public concern.

At this point in time there have been no recalls or warnings issued regarding leading Aquasana filter problems, even though customers have already reported these problems directly to the manufacturing companies.

This reaction eventually spurred a class action investigation of the Aquasana reverse osmosis water filtration systems, for customers who sustained property damage due to water damage.

The reported leaking Aqusana water filter is allegedly related to the product’s locking tabs, which have been reportedly breaking and leaking water. These locking tabs are meant to act as a secure seal for the water filters, while the device filters water through osmosis.

These locking tabs have been reportedly breaking with minimal stress or pressure, causing micro cracks to appear in the tabs. The stress is caused by constant and fluctuating water pressures, as well as by removing and replacing the water filters for routine replacement.

These micro cracks eventually cause the locking tabs to break, leading to water leakage and potential water damage to the consumer’s property. The alleged defective nature of these locking tabs stems from the manufacturing process used by the company, which is also responsible for designing and testing the water filters before releasing them into market.

Aquasana is also responsible for ensuring all the device components like the locking tabs are working properly, so that the product does not suddenly fail on the consumer.

This has allegedly been the case for numerous consumers, who complained the company has done nothing to warn the public against potential leaking Aquasana water filter problems.

Overview of Leaking Aquasana Water Filter Complaints

Previously known as Sun Water Systems, Aquasana is a manufacturing company that sells and produces water filtration systems, including systems that can filter a house’s entire water system.

Smaller filters are installed under the kitchen sink, with a separate water faucet for filtered water installed at the top of the sink. This makes the propensity for serious water damage high, as the kitchen is one of the central plumbing areas on the property.

The company also produces products for widespread consumer consumption including water softeners, water filters for drinking water, shower filters, and water bottles.

Each of the Aquasana water filters mentioned has the allegedly defective locking tabs, which are meant to be a watertight seal that completely prevents leaking. However the continuous fluctuations that naturally come with customers using the water systems, has resulted in the alleged defective water tabs breaking and causing serious water damage.

Aquasana customers have reported that the complete home water filters designed to filter water are defective, and cause water damage to their home when the locking tabs break. It is important to note that these Aquasana reverse osmosis system products can retail for $275, making the customer’s expectations high for the investment.

Even tough Aquasana reportedly updated the design of the product, customers are still reporting the same water leakage problems.

  1. Chaya Hendrick says:

I have a constant stream of water coming from the aquasana faucet. My kitchen us upstairs and the water leaks have caused me to replace part of my downstairs ceiling. It is now 4:30am and I have had to turn off the water to my home. Water is dripping and flooding my ceiling once again. Customer service previously told me to stick a thin wire down the air hole in the faucet. This did not work.

  2. Thierry Di Raffaele says:

We had our aquasana replaced for free twice already (had to pay UK postage) and on our 3rd unit. All of them leak and badly. The base and filter are badly design and aquasana has to redesign it completely and provide customers with free brand new units. Also selling a filter for nearly £50 is an absolute ripoff

  3. Mark Stephenson says:

I have leaks in both the stage 1 and stage 3 filters in a new under counter reverse osmosis system. They want to charge me shipping for replacement parts for this brand new system.

  4. Charles Harkness says:

Mine Aquasana filter system leaked a little when installed 6 months ago, but I just replaced the filters, and it is leaking a lot from both the inlet and outlet with no apparent way to stop it. Water flooded my cabinet and my kitchen floor. I have had to remove it while I request assistance from Customer Support. I don’t have high expectations. Both of my previous systems had screwed/compression connections and did not leak.

  5. Steven McIntyre says:

The faucet is leaking from the side all over the counter top. It has a hole in the side on the other side of the handle

  6. Raeann says:

Hi my aquasana rhino 4 stage filtration system is also leaking. Can you guys tell me how you solved this issue? Thanks.

  7. Sher Bond says:

We are experiencing the same issues with Aquasana leaking and we cannot stop the leaks.

  8. Mauricio Lopez Campero says:

    1. Joe says:

I’m experiencing the same issue as well. No solution in sight. Going to call them first thing Monday morning.

      1. Sri says:

Is it the 1million system ?

Did you bypass the system now ?

How many people in your house ?
