Recall issued for Walmart ground beef sold nationwide

Cargill Meat Solutions announced a recall of approximately 16,243 pounds of ground beef sold at Walmart due to potential contamination with E. coli.

These products were produced April 26-27 and distributed to Walmart stores across the United States, the recall notice says.

Cargill initiated the recall following its discovery that previously ground beef had been unintentionally utilized in the production of the new ground beef.

While the company has not received reports of illness associated with the consumption of the recalled ground beef, Cargill urges consumers to check their purchased products and take necessary precautions, according to the recall notice. The recall affects approximately 57,000 walk-behind leaf blowers and vacuums and tow-behind leaf vacuums in the United States, with an additional 950 units sold in Canada, according to the recall notice. Pieces within the devices can dislodge, leading to ejection and posing risks of lacerations to both users and bystanders.

DR Power Equipment received 22 instances of loose pieces being ejected from the recalled leaf blowers and vacuums, the recall notice states.

Consumers should stop using the affected products immediately and contact DR Power Equipment to arrange for a free dealer-installed repair. Consumers should stop using the recalled bottles and contact Igloo for either a refund or replacement. Igloo recommends cutting the silicone spout into two pieces and photographing it before disposal.

Customers who provide the original receipt can submit it along with the photos to customerservice@igloocooler.com to receive a full refund via their original payment method, a $15 store credit or a replacement bottle.
