Full refund offered for recalled heated blankets, notice says
Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products, unplug them and contact the distributor, Star Elite, for a full refund.
Consumers should complete the online recall registration form and destroy the blanket by cutting the power cord at the plug, marking an “X” with permanent marker on the wash label and sending the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed blanket, the company says.

Sunbeam sold the affected blankets at amazon.com and small independent stores nationwide from September 2022 through January 2023 for about $120.
In related news, Bedshe International recently recalled about 350,000 Bedsure electric heating blankets and pads as they pose a fire and burn hazard with 137 reports of the products catching fire so far and 17 people burned.

I have a maroon one
I have this electric blanket on recall. It burnt a hole in my bedding and mattress. I’m lucky it didn’t kill us while we were sleeping. I feel like they should be held accountable to replace my bedding and mattress and the thing that can’t be replaced is my quilt I received which is burnt that I got when my mother passed. It is irreplaceable! So sad that our lives were in jeopardy of a defective product. I have pictures I of my burnt items.
