Procter & Gamble issued a recall for more than 8.2 million laundry detergent packets, including Tide, Gain, Ace and Ariel, because the packets can split open below the zipper track, making them no longer childproof.

P&G reports 3 children ingesting packets but uncertain link to recall
Procter & Gamble has received four reports of children in the United States accessing the laundry packets with three ingesting them but does not know if the packets were from the recalled lots.
The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
Consumers should stop using the laundry packets immediately and contact Procter & Gamble for a refund and replacement at 833-347-5764 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET Saturday or online.
A December 2022 class action lawsuit alleges Procter & Gamble misleadingly advertises Tide detergent as containing enough product for 64 loads when the small print clarifies it is only if a consumer uses a small amount of detergent per load.
