A recall has been announced for around 116 pool drain covers imported into the country by Vijayli-US over concerns they fail to conform to entrapment protection standards set by the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. 

The recall was initiated over concerns the recalled Vijayli-US pool drain covers could pose an entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers, according to a recall posted April 27 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. 

Pool owners and operators are being advised to immediately stop using pools equipped with the recalled drain covers, and to remove the covers contact the company for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund.

Vijayli-US said it will be contacting all known purchasers of the recalled drain covers directly, according to the pool drain covers recall. 

Recalled Vijayli-US pool drain covers sold online on Amazon.com 

The recalled pool drain covers were sold online on Amazon.com for around $50 from between July 2020 and March 2023, according to the pool drain covers recall.

A separate recall was initiated last month by Delta Enterprise Corp. for 43,480 of its 2-in-1 outdoor kids’ swings over concerns the products’ restraints could break, creating a fall hazard.
