Pot dispensaries are pulling eight products from the shelves after lab testing revealed salmonella and mold contamination, leading to a voluntary recall in Arizona.

A routine inspection by state lab auditors resulted in positive tests for salmonella or the mold aspergillus in certain batches of the following products:

  • Harvest Platinum, 14g Pre-Pack Indica Flower Glazed Apricot Gelato
  • Harvest Platinum, 14g Pre-Pack Sativa Flower Tiger Haze
  • Modern Flower, 3.5g Pre-Pack Indica Flower Orange Acai
  • Sol Flower Dispensaries and Establishments, Tahiti Lime
  • EHF (Elephant Head Farms), HAT Trick #17 Flower
  • Mohave Cannabis, Preroll
  • Tru Infusion Flower, Caked Up Cherries
  • The Pharm, Chemistry #1 (HD 3/24/21)

The Arizona Health Department warns consumers not to consume or smoke the products.

“To date, no illnesses have been reported,” says a Thursday press release by the agency. “This announcement is being made out of an abundance of caution.”

The Health Department urges consumers who have already used the products to contact their healthcare provider or seek emergency medical care if they experience any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Chest pain
  • Cold-like symptoms
  • Diarrhea
  • Stomach cramps
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache

Salmonella can cause sickness between six hours and six days of exposure, including handling products contaminated with salmonella, warned the Arizona Health Department. The mold aspergillus can cause allergic reactions or infections, particularly in those who are already ill.

The health department’s press release notes that the recalled pot products had been labeled as free of contaminants before they were distributed to marijuana dispensaries for sale. Once informed, the dispensaries removed the items.

Consumers with questions can contact the marijuana dispensary where they purchased the recalled pot products.

Top Class Actions will continue to monitor this and other safety recalls to help keep consumers informed.

    Bloom dispensary in Sedona AZ.

I bought Aeriz “Lava Cake” Aeroponic cannabis, and brought it back to put them on “Notice” about the black mold on flower. I even pointed it out to them on their display flower in show case has black mold.

They did not offer to reimburse, or credit my account..?

I asked Bloom Sedona to pull all the “Lava Cake” flower, and notify company. This is health risk to public. And they have done nothing..? I have taken photos of flower, and recorded conversation with Bloom Sedona employees.

I am former deputy director for High Sierra NORML (Northern California), and this concerns me that lawlessness is happening in Arizona dispensaries.

Arizona dispensaries are all about the money, but not about the called “Medicine”

I shop anywhere but Bloom Sedona (Black Mold).
