A Georgia man recently filed a Roundup cancer lawsuit against agricultural giant Monsanto, alleging that its Roundup product led to his cancer diagnosis.
The plaintiff, Ronnie T., filed his complaint in May 2017. According to the Roundup cancer lawsuit, Ronnie’s exposure to Roundup led him to develop Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Ronnie says he began using Roundup in the year 2000, and even though he followed the safety warnings of the product, he ended up being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He alleges his cancer diagnosis was a direct result of using Roundup.
This Roundup cancer lawsuit and others like it claim that Monsanto has long misrepresented Roundup as safe ─ indeed, “safer than table salt” and “practically non-toxic” to animals. Ronnie notes that the New York Attorney General actually filed a lawsuit against Monsanto over this allegedly false and misleading advertising.
Ronnie’s Monsanto lawsuit was filed on multiple counts, including negligence, design defect, failure to warn, and breach of implied warranties.
