Rodan + Fields will pay $38 million to resolve several class action lawsuits surrounding its Lash Boost product, and Class Members can collect a cash payment of up to $175 or a credit voucher worth up to $250 without proof of purchase with their claim form.
The class action lawsuit settlement benefits consumers who purchased Rodan + Fields Lash Boost between Oct. 1, 2016, and March 11, 2022.
Rodan + Fields is a multilevel marketing company specializing in skincare products. One of the company’s most popular products is Lash Boost — a lash serum advertised to dramatically increase lash length and density.
Although many customers swear by Lash Boost for growing their lashes, others say the product is actually a misbranded drug that can cause serious side effects.
Plaintiffs in three class action lawsuits challenge the ingredients of Lash Boost, specifically isopropyl cloprostenate. Isopropyl cloprostenate is a prostaglandin analog — a type of chemical used in glaucoma treatments. Due to this drug ingredient, plaintiffs argue that Lash Boost should be regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and treated as a drug instead of an untested cosmetics product.
Because Lash Boost is unregulated, consumers are allegedly not warned about the risks associated with isopropyl cloprostenate. According to the Lash Boost class action lawsuits, Rodan + Fields customers unknowingly used this medical drug near their eyes and put themselves at risk for adverse reactions such as eye irritation, macular edema, iris color change, and ocular inflammation.
In addition to causing adverse side effects, the inclusion of isopropyl cloprostenate allegedly contradicts Rodan + Fields’ marketing promises that Lash Boost is “not a drug product,” “contains only cosmetic ingredients,” and is “not associated with any significant side effects.”
Rodan + Fields didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $38 million to resolve three Lash Boost class action lawsuits.
Under the terms of the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost class action lawsuit settlement, Class Members can collect either a cash payment or a credit voucher.
Consumers who purchased Lash Boost only once or who do not provide proof of purchase can collect a cash payment of up to $175 or a credit voucher worth up to $250.
Class Members who provide proof of purchasing Lash Boost more than once can double their benefits for a maximum cash payment of $350 or a credit voucher up to $500.
In addition to providing cash to fund these benefits, Rodan + Fields has agreed to make Lash Boost label changes to revise instructions, warnings, and other information.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 14, 2022.
The final approval hearing for the Lash Boost class action settlement is scheduled for Sept. 14, 2022.
In order to receive a Lash Boost settlement payment, Class Members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 7, 2022.

Digital payments were issue on December 30, 2022. Payment notifications and reminder notifications were sent to the email address provided with a claim submission. The last day to claim a digital award was January 15, 2023. Class Members with unclaimed digital awards will be mailed a check in the amount of their award. Checks are anticipated to be mailed by the end of February 2023.
Physical checks were mailed on December 30, 2022. Checks are valid for 180 days from the issue date printed on the check.
They must be lying again. They told me Feb 24th. It’s been a complete week and still no check. Lie lie lue
So I have been emailing them nonstop asking where my money is. They say I sent my original email to spam which is not true and that anybody that didn’t claim their digital payment by January 13th will be getting a check in February. All I’ve been getting is the runaround and of course all I can do is wait for them to finally decide what they’re going to do
Still flipping waiting. They are making every excuse in the book.
Hi. Thanks for posting your information and update as well. I have not heard or received anything either so you sharing yours helps. Thanks again
So I got another email Monday that they mailed out my check in 24th of February. Still didn’t get in today’s mail. Another lie perhaps?

I can’t remember receiving any payment. I just searched through both of my bank’s histories and didn’t see anything. I had proof of purchase with my submission so I’m not sure what my payment would be.
