Greyhound Lines has agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice to resolve allegations that the transportation company violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The DOJ claims that Greyhound violated the ADA by not providing accessible transportation and transportation-related services to individuals with disabilities. The federal agency states that by not providing “full and equal” enjoyment of its transportation services, Greyhound discriminates against a group of citizens.
The alleged violations brought on by the Justice Department include “failing to maintain accessibility features on its bus fleet such as lifts and securement devices; failing to provide passengers with disabilities assistance boarding and exiting buses at rest stops; and failing to allow customers traveling in wheelchairs to complete their reservations online.”
Greyhound Lines denied the allegations but agreed to pay an uncapped amount of financial compensation to disabled passengers as well as use its resources to improve transportation services for passengers with disabilities.
According to the terms of the settlement, whenever Greyhound makes a rest stop “all passengers with disabilities, including individuals using wheelchairs, will be permitted to leave and return to the bus on the same basis as other passengers.”
In addition, by April 30, 2016, and every year after, Greyhound will require all of its employees attend in-person training on the nondiscrimination mandate of the ADA.
Disabled passengers who believe they were discriminated against have until Nov. 10, 2016 to file a Claim to benefit from this Greyhound settlement.

well i have been going threw hell with this check . my bank kicked it out but they will not tell me why.
so tomorrow i will be right back in there for some answers
I didn’t have any problems cashing the check at my local credit union..they did however hold $1000 of the $1411 until this Saturday..but that’s just policy on their part..the check is 100% legit folks.

I just spoke with the branch manager of my US Bank home branch. She told me she called Signature, the issuing bank, and was told the funds couldn’t be verified. In other words, Signature claims the funds haven’t posted to the JND Legal Administration’s account, yet. I find this hard to believe.
U.S. Bank put a week hold on mine because “risk assessment determined the check may not be paid.” When I called my branch, I was told it’s on hold because it couldn’t be “verified.” I told her it shouldn’t be difficult to phone the issuing bank. She was really vague and couldn’t give me any concrete information on what their verification process entails.
There is nothing wrong with the check. This is something some banks do. U.S. Bank is known for these unwarranted and intentional delays falsely categorized as “fraudulent” or “suspicious.”
Thanks Billy for your response, I got my check today.
From signature bank Darnell
What bank is listed on the checks folks?
Im not a troll called my bank and they said they usually do this with unfamiliar checks or banks that issued it bit they said we shouldn’t worry about it if it isn’t a fraudulent check because they will be able to verify it. It might take time tho 1 week max
Checks are real and fine. I cashed mine at the bank listed on the check. Don’t believe all the trolls and lies on here.
