The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sent out a number of refund checks during October.

Hylan Asset Management FTC Refund Checks

More than 1,400 FTC refund checks totaling $772,512 have been sent to consumers targeted by a debt collector attempting to collect on debts they didn’t owe.

Hylan Asset Management and other defendants allegedly sold fake debts to debt-collection agencies that in turn used illegal practices to collect on those debts, according to the FTC and New York attorney general.

In addition, Hylan allegedly continued to sell such debt to third parties though it was notified many of the debts were not owed.

The FTC asks that refund recipients cash their check within 90 days.

Questions regarding this refund may be directed to JND Legal Administration at 888-691-3554.

8 Figure Dream Lifestyle Refunds

Individuals who lost money in a business opportunity scheme known as “8 Figure Dream Lifestyle” have been receiving refunds from the FTC.

The FTC claimed 8 Figure Dream Lifestyle used illegal robocalls, live calls, texts, online ads, and other methods to market and sell money-making opportunities that were not legitimate.

Allegedly, the defendants claimed people who used their programs could earn upward of $10,000 in 60 to 90 days.

However, according to the FTC, these claims were false or unproven, and most who participated in the scheme lost their whole investment.

Checks should be cashed within 90 days; PayPal payments should be accepted within 30 days.

Those with questions about these refunds may call JND Legal Administration at 1-888-691-3551.

Elite IT FTC Refund Checks

The FTC sent out 31,075 refund checks totaling nearly $300,000 to individuals who paid for costly and unnecessary computer repairs by Elite IT Partners.

The company allegedly targeted those seeking help recovering email passwords and pretended it was affiliated with companies such as Microsoft and Yahoo!, the FTC said. It allegedly ran fake tests to try to convince these people their computers had a virus.

Tens of thousands of people fell for these tactics, paying for unnecessary repairs and support services, according to the FTC.

The FTC asks that these checks be cashed within 90 days.

Questions should be directed to refund administrator Analytics Consulting at 866-974-1467.

Another Round of Refunds for Business Coaching Services

The FTC is issuing more refunds of nearly $5 million total to people who purchased internet business coaching services from a telemarketing scheme.

The scheme operated as Professional Learning Institute, Pinnacle Learning Institute, Advantage Education, and Discover Education, among others. These companies allegedly promised consumers who paid high fees upfront that they would be able to create successful online businesses.

Under the terms of the settlement with the FTC, the defendants are banned from selling such services and work-from-home opportunities.

The initial round of checks were mailed in January 2018.

Checks must be cashed within 90 days.

Mile High Madison Group Refunds

FTC refund checks worth more than a total of $1.1 million are making their way to 85,000 people who purchased the supplements Neurocet, Regenify, and Resetigen-D.

Those who marketed these supplements allegedly used direct-mail campaigns to make false or unproven claims that they were able to stop pain and treat age-related conditions.

The FTC asks that the checks be cashed within 90 days.

Those with questions may contact Rust Consulting at 866-216-0252.

Lights of America FTC Refund Checks

The FTC is issuing 7,430 refund checks worth more than $840,500 to individuals who bought LED light bulbs from Lights of America and filed a claim.

According to the FTC, Lights of America Inc. overstated its LED bulbs’ light output and life expectancy.

A federal court ordered Lights of America to stop misrepresenting facts about its products and to pay the FTC so the agency could issue refunds.

Checks should be cashed within 90 days.

Refund administrator Analytics Consulting, 800-419-4695, can answer any questions related to this refund.

Second Round of Fashion Nova FTC Refunds

Certain Fashion Nova customers are receiving a second round of refunds from the FTC.

The online retailer allegedly failed to ship merchandise in a timely fashion, failed to properly notify customers, failed to offer customers the option to cancel orders, and illegally issued gift cards rather than refunds as compensation for unshipped merchandise.

The first round of payments was issued in March 2021, but because there was money remaining in the fund, the FTC is sending out 290,460 PayPal payments and 12,407 checks worth more than $2.8 million who previously received payments.

Check recipients have 90 days to cash it; those who receive PayPal payments have 30 days to accept the payment.

Questions about this refund should contact administrator Rust Consulting at 866-483-0376.

Fashion Nova is still practicing all those things they just got sued for. I ordered from them back in December 2021 not sure what happened to my package said it was delivered but it could not be found. The website still states store credit instead of refund but because I took the installment plan I made one payment of $150 and 3 more where scheduled weekly I called my credit card company and they stopped the payment. They have two options of shipping which I’ve read working there is horrible. There should be no reason to wait a month for your package plus pay $10 to use instore if select that option. They haven’t changed a thing. No option to talk to a live person just emails. Who does business like that
