How Do I Start a Class Action Lawsuit?
If you’ve suffered an injury from a company’s actions (or inactions), you may be eligible to file a class action lawsuit and represent other consumers who have suffered similar harm.
The first step is to find an attorney who is experienced in class action litigation to represent you. Because many defendants in class action lawsuits are large corporations who can afford to pay significant legal fees to defend themselves from litigation, it is important that the attorney you select has the experience and resources needed to bring a strong case.
Does It Cost Me Anything to Start a Class Action?
Most class action attorneys take cases on a contingent fee basis, so you don’t need to pay to participate. Attorneys who work on a contingency basis don’t get paid unless they win the case. After looking into the facts of your class action lawsuit, the attorney will decide whether it is worthwhile to take on.
How Do I Find an Attorney?
When you’re looking for an attorney to represent you in a class action lawsuit, you need to make sure the lawyer is experienced, has a strong record of success and has sufficient resources. Finding an experienced lawyer who is willing to take on your case can be a challenge.
Top Class Actions works with a number of lawyers who have significant experience representing plaintiffs in class action lawsuits. Simply submit your information at our Start a Class Action page to get started. Attorneys in our network will review your case and let you know if you qualify to take legal action. If you qualify, you will be contacted for a free legal consultation.
What Is a Lead Plaintiff?
A lead plaintiff is the person (or group of people) who files the class action lawsuit and is named as plaintiff on the class action complaint. The lead plaintiff serves as the Class representative and therefore must be able to represent the interests of all Class Members.
It is typically necessary for the lead plaintiff to be an active participant after the class action lawsuit is filed. This means appearing for a deposition, hearings, trial, and any other important meetings related to the case. If damages are awarded following a trial or settlement, the lead plaintiff will receive an incentive award for his or her efforts in bringing the case.

I would like to start a class action lawsuit against Roblox for AI age generator for labeling my 12 yr old niece as a 17 year old! Idk if you all have heard of it where they verify your age thru a picture and then categorize you by age group. Dangers are your underaged child will be online with adults or older teens. While assumed the child is age appropriate yet the child is there because of inaccurate age identification.
I want to know if I have a caselaw to investigate for Roblox AI age generation labeling a 12 yr old girl as 17 yrs old!
We need to start a class action lawsuit against pharmacies who still have the prescriptions with thermal receipt paper.
I would like to start a class action lawsuit against Lowe’s Home Improvement for a deceptive practice they had for a “Member Appreciation Day” event they held at their stores nation-wide on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The event allowed individuals that are a member of “My Lowe’s Rewards” to receive a coupon for 20% off and/or a scratch card for Lowe’s rewards money (depending on location, some allowed both some seemed to allow you to pick only one). In my case, I got a coupon and a scratch card. I proceeded in the store and decided to scratch to see how much I received. I scratched my code and then scanned the QR code which pushed me to the Lowe’s app and it popped up “Congratulations! You’ve got $50 MyLowe’s Money it has been added to your account.” I was so excited, I took a screen shot and I went and looked at windows and found some I wanted to buy, I told the associate how excited I was that my card had revealed $50 (he had no comment). In checking the app though as I went to pay for the windows, it wasn’t showing the $50 in my account, only $5. I decided not to use that toward my purchase so I could save until the $50 showed up to combine it. The next day I checked my app again, still no $50 but now I had a new credit from purchasing the windows. I called customer service and they said to visit the store in-person and they could correct it. I went to the store 2 days later and they said they can’t fix it, the manager said “the computer doesn’t lie”. Did he mean my account now having only $5 wasn’t a lie? Or that the $50 wasn’t a lie? Not sure. I called customer service again and the rep said they just had a meeting about it and it’s a known issue. I asked is it going to be corrected then? No she said, it is only the $5 that I would receive.
I searched on-line and I see many many people that had the same thing happen. Some got more than $5 (I have seen some say they got $10 or $20 and they were able to use it). This seems like a deceptive practice for Lowe’s to entice you go to find products in the store as you got a card worth $50 store credit only to find out when you go to pay that you have only $5. Not to mention the time wasted in calling customer service (multiple times), driving to visit the store in person trying to get this corrected, etc. Lowe’s is refusing to make good on the advertised amount!
